iTeach Schools in Pune and Navi Mumbai is seeking teachers who will wear multiple hats to deliver quality education to students from low-income communities.

You will teach subjects, mentor students, and lead school projects, with a compensation package ranging from 3.6 to 6 LPA CTC, plus benefits such as PF, medical insurance, paid leaves, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with strong academic and holistic performance.
• B Ed degree preferred.
• Teaching experience in a secondary grade for 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach your subject, design annual/unit/lesson plans, assess students and provide feedback.
• Mentor 15-20 students, develop study habits and share plans with teachers across the ecosystem.
• Lead school projects with principals and vice principals (Annual Day, Sports Day, Hobby Clubs) to strengthen leadership and learning.

Overview

The quality of school education available to students from low-income communities across India is abysmal. Their chances of getting admitted to a college or building a career are much lower than their high-income peers, condemning them to a life without voice or choice. iTeach was born to declare war on this status quo and create a level playing field for ALL children. We do this in Pune and Navi Mumbai by co-creating contextual school models with Municipal Corporations.

Key Responsibilities:

A teacher at iTeach Schools wears multiple hats to ensure an excellent education for their students. The three different parts of the role are:

l - Teaching your subject (60% time)

• Use existing resources and design innovative Annual Plans, Unit Plans, and Lesson Plans
• Teach one or two subjects of your expertise to your class (about 30 students in each class)
• Conduct regular tests and assessments to monitor learning and give feedback to students
• Build a positive and strong school culture with a focus on learning and joy
• Collaborate with the parents of the students through regular meetings to create a positive learning environment

ll - Mentoring students (20% time)

• Mentor nearly 15-20 students throughout the year
• Develop ways to ensure that these students have strong study habits, high attendance, and the drive to excel-share these plans with all teachers across the ecosystem
• Mentor students to identify a best-fit career after Grade X

lll - Leading projects in school (20% time)

• Work with the School Principal and Vice Principal to lead multiple projects essential to student learning (based on your talents), such as Annual Day, Sports Day, Hobby Clubs, etc.
• Use these opportunities to strengthen your leadership skills and mentor new teachers

Education & Experience:

• Required: Bachelors Degree with strong academic and holistic performance
• Preferred: B Ed Degree
• Preferred: Teaching experience in a secondary grade for 1-2 years
