Job summary

Opus Technologies in Pune is seeking a QA Automation Sr. Tester with at least 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java-based API automation and UI testing. The role covers API testing with Rest Assured, Selenium, and various frameworks, plus manual testing, defect management and environment setup.

The candidate should be adept at code reviews, SQL queries and basic Unix/Cloud concepts, with optional Cypress/Playwright experience. Pune location preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java-based API automation experience with Rest Assured and Selenium.
• Proficiency with TestNG, Cypress (optional), Playwright and Cucumber.
• Strong manual testing skills including scenario elicitation, traceability and test design.
• API manual testing using Insomnia and Postman.
• Defect triage, debugging, and defect management processes.
• Experience in environment setup and deployment staging.
• Participation in PR reviews and sign-off procedures.
• SQL queries (DDL/DML) and basic database concepts.
• Familiarity with Unix commands and cloud concepts (optional).

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with Rest Assured and Selenium using Java.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks including TestNG, Cypress (optional), Playwright and Cucumber.
• Perform manual testing with scenario elicitation, traceability and test case design.
• Conduct API testing using Insomnia and Postman.

• Contribute to code reviews and PR sign-offs.
• Write SQL queries, perform DDL/DML operations and validate data integrity.
• Utilize Unix commands and explore cloud-related tasks when needed.

QA Automation Sr. Tester with minimum 6+ years of hands‑on experience with Java and API Automation, writing code with data structure and a few other points listed below.

1. Automation Testing: Hands-on experience with Rest Assured and Selenium using Java.
2. Automation Frameworks: Practical knowledge of TestNG, Cypress (optional), Playwright, and Cucumber.
3. Manual Testing: Including scenario elicitation, traceability, and test case design.
4. API Manual Testing: Using Insomnia and Postman.
5. Defect Management: Familiarity with defect triage processes and debugging techniques.
6. Environment Management: Experience handling deployment staging and environment setups.
7. Code Review Process: Involvement in pull request (PR) reviews and sign-off procedures.
8. Database Skills: Competence in DDL/DML operations and writing SQL queries.
