Advance Career Solutions is seeking a seasoned SDET to lead test automation across UI and API layers from Bengaluru. The role demands hands-on expertise with Selenium, Java, Python, and shell scripting, plus experience with Cypress, REST Assured, Karate, and related tools.

The ideal candidate will implement robust automation frameworks, work in a distributed Agile environment, and contribute to backend API test automation in cloud environments like AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer.
• Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated UI and API tests in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using open-source libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.
• Proficient in OOP languages like Java, C# and scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Shell, Bash, etc.
• Experience with API and Microservices testing and automation; knowledge of TDD/BDD with frameworks like Cucumber, JBehave.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes).
• Hands-on automation of backend REST services using tools like Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress, Ready API.

Responsibilities

• +7 years of experience in IT with expertise in test automation for UI and API layers.
• Write and maintain automated UI and API tests using Java, JavaScript, C#, Python with Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, and related tools.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model) and contribute to modular, scalable test architectures.
• Collaborate in distributed agile teams following SCRUM/SAFe practices.

Interview mode: L1, L2 Virtual & L3 F2F (Mandate)

Mandate Skill: SDET-Selenium with java, Python, Shell Scripting language,

Secondary Skill: Java selenium with python and shell scripting

• +7 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layer.

• Candidate should have hands on experience of writing, maintaining automated UI and APIs tests written in Java, JavaScript, C#, Python using various open-source testing libraries like Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.

• Hands on experience in automating backend REST services including writing custom functions using tools such such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate,Cypress, Ready API etc.

• Hands on experience of building test automation framework from ground up using modular framework and design pattern like Page Object Model design pattern (POM) etc.
• Experience of working in distributed agile teams using agile frameworks such as SCRUM , SAFe, XP etc.
