Job summary

Fortanix seeks a talented SDET to join the India team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of our data-centric platform by developing and executing comprehensive test plans and automated test suites.

You will design automated tests, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior QA members in best practices.

Job Description

Fortanix seeks a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join the India team. The SDET will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our platform by developing and executing comprehensive test plans and automated test suites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and design test plans that ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects with clear and concise documentation.
• Continuously improve test automation strategies and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure adherence to best practices and high-quality code.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing into the development workflow.
• Monitor and analyze test results, identify trends, and drive improvements in product quality.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with security testing and knowledge of security principles.
• Experience with Rust programming language is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of data security concepts and protocols.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
