Basepair Inc is seeking an experienced SDET to join our development team in Noida. You will enhance Playwright automation, expand UI/API coverage, and improve reliability and execution efficiency.

You will validate complex workflows, build internal QA tools, and contribute to CI/CD quality gates while advocating shift-left quality. Strong collaboration with developers and product partners is essential.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SDET to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing methodologies, quality processes, and defect management. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through comprehensive testing strategies and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain the existing Playwright automation framework, expanding UI/API coverage and improving reliability, flakiness detection, and execution efficiency
• Validate complex system workflows across UI, API, and backend layers, ensuring correctness, reliability, and consistency of every release
• Build internal QA tools, improve test data workflows, and contribute to CI/CD quality gates and overall pipeline readiness
• Perform functional, regression, and end-to-end automated testing
• Advocate for shift-left quality and influence system design and architecture for better test ability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts
• Maintain accurate documentation and onboarding materials for frameworks, tooling, and best practices
• Participate in test strategy, test planning, and test estimation activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in QA Automation
• Expertise in enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks (Playwright or equivalent)
• Proficiency in k6, JavaScript, or Python for scalable automation development
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized infrastructure (Docker)
• Working knowledge of AWS environment
• Deep understanding of RESTful API testing, backend validation, mocks/stubs, and integration testing
• Experience with performance and load testing tools like k6, Locust, or JMeter
• Strong debugging skills, especially in distributed and microservices-based architectures
• Basic knowledge of AI-driven testing techniques or LLM-based test generation
• Excellent communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities
