Job summary

Vegapay Technologies Private Limited, Bengaluru, is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests for web, mobile, and API platforms. You will drive test strategy, build robust scripts, and ensure high-quality releases in a fintech environment.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams, implement CI/CD pipelines, and enhance test coverage through modern QA tooling and frameworks.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in automation testing of web and API-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of Selenium / Playwright / Cypress and RestAssured / Postman / Karate for API testing.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Zephyr.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Behave, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify, document, and track bugs through the defect management process.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and high product quality.
• Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and ensure consistent automation coverage.

• Participate in sprint planning, story reviews, and daily stand-ups as part of the Agile process.
• Continuously improve automation practices and contribute to QA strategy and best practices.

The role demands a strong understanding of software testing principles, test automation frameworks, and hands-on experience with modern QA tools and CI/CD pipelines.
