Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an SDE III Conversational AI Developer based in India to design, implement and optimize advanced chatbot flows. You will work with Cognigy, Yellow.ai, Kore.ai, Amazon Lex, or Dialogflow, and build integrations using Node.js or Python in an Agile setting.

You will analyze performance data to improve NLP/NLU, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and stay current with evolving conversational AI tech while working a 2:00 PM–11:00 PM IST shift.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of software development experience
• Strong skills in Node.js or Python with API integrations and complex logic
• Hands-on experience with one or more conversational AI platforms
• Certification in at least one conversational AI platform
• Understanding of NLP/NLU and chatbot data structures
• Experience analyzing performance data and driving improvements
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative teams
• Proficiency with Jira for issue tracking and collaboration
• Excellent communication and willingness to learn emerging technologies
• Willingness to work 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an SDE III Conversational AI Developer based in India.

Take the next step in your software engineering career by building intelligent, engaging conversational experiences that improve how users interact with digital services. In this role, you will design and implement sophisticated conversational flows using leading AI platforms and modern programming technologies. You will collaborate with business, product, and engineering leaders to translate requirements into scalable, high-performing conversational applications. By combining programming expertise with conversational AI, NLP, and NLU principles, you will help optimize chatbot performance and continuously improve user experiences. Working within an Agile development environment, you will contribute throughout the application lifecycle, from implementation and analysis to ongoing enhancements. This fully remote opportunity is suited to an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, learning emerging technologies, and delivering measurable results.

Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and implement conversational flows using platforms such as Cognigy, Yellow.ai, Kore.ai, Amazon Lex, Microsoft LUIS, Google Dialogflow, and IBM Watson.
• Develop and maintain application logic and integrations using Node.js or Python, including API integrations, complex workflows, code optimization, and impact analysis.
• Support iterative conversational NLU and NLP design, using performance data and user interactions to recommend improvements across multiple releases.
• Define the data requirements and metrics needed to evaluate conversational application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Understand and work with the data structures that support chatbot applications to improve functionality, reliability, and performance.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, application reviews, and collaborative development activities.
• Work closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to understand requirements, address technical challenges, and deliver effective solutions.
• Support applications throughout their lifecycle while continuously expanding knowledge of conversational AI principles, platform capabilities, and emerging technologies.
• Stay informed about industry trends and new platform features to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Work the required shift from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. India Standard Time (IST).

Requirements

• Between 8 and 12 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Node.js or Python, including experience with API integrations, complex application logic, code optimization, and impact analysis.
• Hands-on experience implementing conversational AI solutions using one or more platforms, such as Cognigy, Yellow.ai, Kore.ai, Amazon Lex, Microsoft LUIS, Google Dialogflow, or IBM Watson.
• Certification in at least one conversational AI platform, such as Cognigy, Yellow.ai, Kore.ai, Amazon Lex, Microsoft LUIS, Google Dialogflow, or IBM Watson.
• Understanding of conversational AI, natural language processing (NLP), natural language understanding (NLU), chatbot data structures, and conversational flow design.
• Experience analyzing application performance data, defining meaningful metrics, and using insights to improve conversational experiences across releases.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and experience collaborating within iterative development teams.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA for issue tracking, workflow management, and team coordination.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly when investigating complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving technologies, conversational AI capabilities, and industry best practices.
• Willingness and availability to work from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. IST.
