Job summary

Siemens Technology and Services Private Limited in Chennai seeks an experienced Scrum Master to lead 2–3 agile teams, facilitate ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement. You will remove blockers, collaborate with stakeholders, and coach Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness and delivery quality on global projects.

Ideal candidates have 5–12 years in IT with at least 3 years as Scrum Master, strong facilitation skills, and solid knowledge of Lean/Agile practices.

Qualifications

• 5 to 12 years of IT software development experience with at least 3 years as a professional Scrum Master.
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead Scrum ceremonies effectively.
• Experience driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology.
• Solid knowledge of Lean and Agile practices, estimation, risk analysis, and data interpretation.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience collaborating across international, multi-site agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage 2–3 Scrum teams with accountability for deliverables, timelines and quality.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives).
• Ensure adherence to agile processes and readiness/done criteria.
• Support development teams technically to remove blockers with architects and leads.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure timely decisions and inputs.
• Provide timely data to Project Managers for scope, quality and risk decisions.
• Maintain a safe, transparent environment where issues are raised and resolved.
• Coach Product Owners on backlog management and DOR readiness.
• Resolve impediments, dependencies and team dysfunctions quickly.
• Lead by example with servant leadership and collaborative approach.
• Maintain organizational reports, dashboards, and status information.

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and coach agile teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. You will facilitate agile ceremonies, foster continuous improvement, and enable cross-functional collaboration across global teams. This role requires a strong balance of servant leadership, facilitation, and technical awareness.

You’ll make a difference by:

• Managing 2–3 Scrum teams with accountability for deliverables, timelines, and quality.
• Facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement).
• Ensuring Scrum team’s adherence to agile processes and readiness/doneness criteria.

• Engage with stakeholders to ensure decisions and inputs are provided in a timely manner.
• Provide timely and accurate data to Project Managers for decisions on scope, quality, and risks.
• Building a safe and transparent environment where issues are raised and resolved proactively.
• Guiding and coaching Product Owners in effective backlog management (ensuring DOR state items are ready).
• Facilitating quick resolution of impediments, dependencies, and team dysfunctions.
• Fostering servant leadership by persuading rather than commanding, and leading by example.
• Maintaining organizational reports, dashboards, and status information as required.

You’ll win us over by:

• 5 to 12 years of overall IT software development experience with at least 3 recent years of professional Scrum Master experience in Agile software development.
• Strong facilitation skills with proven ability to lead Scrum ceremonies effectively.
• Experience driving continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology.
• Solid working knowledge of Lean, Agile practices, estimation techniques, risk analysis, data interpretation, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong collaboration experience across international, multi-site agile teams.
• Proficiency in Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, IBM Jazz).
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts through discussion, negotiation, or escalation.

Nice to Have:

• Ability to contribute to technical discussions and support teams in resolving issues.
• Exposure to Cloud application development and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with tech stacks such as C#, Angular.
• Knowledge of the Energy & Sustainability solutions domain.
