Job summary

Havata Technologies in Hyderabad, India seeks an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile teams across time zones. You will coach teams to adopt SAFe practices, remove impediments, and foster self-organization to achieve predictable deliverables. Strong Jira expertise and stakeholder collaboration are required.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in agile roles, SAFe certification, and a proven ability to shield the team from distractions while driving continuous improvement and reliable reporting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Agile environments and SAFe practices.
• SAFe certification or equivalent demonstrated exposure.
• Experience with enterprise services and Jira tooling.

Responsibilities

• Protects the team from external distractions misaligned with priorities.
• Coaches the team in Agile practices and continuous improvements.
• Helps the team with self-organization and autonomy.
• Collects metrics and creates dashboards (burndown, velocity).
• Facilitates Scrum ceremonies and cross-team coordination.
• Partners with Engineering Managers and Product Owners to shield the team.
• Coordinates Scrum of Scrums and maintains clear status reporting.
• Manages Jira for the Agile team's projects and supports releases.

Job Description:

• strong knowledge of agile frameworks, specifically SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework). Certification in SAFe
• Protects the team from external distractions that do not align with prioritized or planned work.
• Coaches the teams adoption of Agile practices and improvements.
• Helps team with self-organization and autonomy.
• Collects metrics to help teams improve; creates appropriate reporting / dashboards for alignment (burndown charts, velocity, etc.).
• Expedites removal of impediments.
• Facilitates scrum ceremonies and other key meetings to foster appropriate level of collaboration.
• Partners with Engineering Managers, Product Managers/Owners to protect the team from outside distractions and priorities.
• Facilitates and participates in Scrum of Scrum meetings for cross-team coordination.
• Fosters communication creates channel for the team as well as help translate “lingo”.
• Coordinates and establishes relationships with other Scrum Masters, third parties, shared resources, and other members of the organization.
• Tools Administrator for Agile team’s Jira project.
• Partners with the Release Manager to support release activities.
• Preferred knowledge, understanding of enterprise services.
• Ability to manage teams across different time zones.
• Status reporting: provides “right level” of status of team’s deliverables.
