Job summary

SPA Enterprise is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery for a Pune-based engagement. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Scrum Master experience, excellent working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO), and moderate to strong technical understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

The candidate should be comfortable working closely with bp teams and stakeholders from the Pune office 34 days per week.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years hands-on Scrum Master experience.
• Agile/Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for project management.
• Moderate to strong technical knowledge of SDLC and software development processes.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile principles, sprint planning, backlog management and impediment resolution.
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Manage and track Agile projects using Azure DevOps (ADO) with accurate backlog and sprint tracking.

The candidate should be comfortable working closely with bp teams and stakeholders from the Pune office 34 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement.
• Manage and track Agile projects using Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring accurate backlog, sprint, work item and delivery tracking.
• Work closely with development, QA, product/business and other stakeholders to ensure effective sprint and release delivery.
• Monitor sprint progress, identify risks, dependencies and impediments, and drive timely resolution.
• Use technical understanding of SDLC to understand the work being delivered and challenge the team on estimates, dependencies and timelines when required.
• Support backlog refinement and ensure user stories are sufficiently refined, prioritized and ready for development.
• Track sprint and team metrics through ADO and provide meaningful delivery updates to stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication between the Agile team and senior stakeholders.
• Promote Agile/Scrum practices, continuous improvement and a culture of accountability within the team.
• Support basic business requirement refinement and help translate business needs into actionable Agile work items.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience as a Scrum Master.
• Agile/Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe or equivalent.
• Strong hands‑on experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO) for Agile project management and delivery tracking.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working with bp or in a bp engagement.
• Experience in refining business requirements and translating them into user stories or actionable backlog items.
• Experience working with distributed or cross-functional technology teams.
• Strong analytical, facilitation and problem-solving skills.

Location & Availability

• Candidate must be based in Pune or be able to work from Pune.
• Must be comfortable working from the bp Pune office 3–4 days per week.
• Immediate availability / short notice period will be preferred due to the urgent nature of the requirement.
