Job summary

What's Up Wellness is seeking a Script Writer to craft high-retention scripts for short-form video content, including Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. You will translate science into relatable stories and develop engaging, credible scripts across formats and personas.

With 3-5 years of experience, you write in conversational English (Hinglish a plus) and focus on watch time, saves, and shares while staying accurate and compliant.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience writing scripts for D2C brands, preferably for short-form or performance content.
• Strong command of conversational English with a calm, credible tone (Hinglish a plus).
• Proven ability to simplify science-backed or informational content without exaggeration.
• Understands what drives watch time, saves, and shares on short-form video platforms.
• Open to feedback and iterative creative processes; wellness/beauty experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write high-retention scripts for short-form video content including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, performance ads, and product explainers.
• Create trust-worthy, engaging, and shareable scripts that educate audiences without sounding preachy or exaggerated.
• Translate complex science, ingredients, and formulations into clear, relatable spoken language.
• Craft strong hooks and narrative flows that stop the scroll while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Creative Strategist to execute defined content pillars, tones, and formats.
• Adapt scripts for founder-led videos, doctor/expert POVs, and UGC-style explainers.
