Job summary

Outpace Consulting Services is seeking a seasoned SCM - Category Manager in India to lead category strategy across IT, logistics, and related services. You will analyze procurement data, build dashboards, and drive supplier performance while optimizing costs.

The role requires strong experience in sourcing, analytics, ERP platforms, and cross-functional collaboration. You will mentor teams and partner with stakeholders to achieve strategic procurement goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in SCM Category Management and Sourcing Strategies.
• Experience in Procurement Analytics and Spend Analysis.
• Should have Team Handling experience.
• Strong knowledge of Kraljic Matrix.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Ariba, SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
• Any Graduate.

Responsibilities

• Analyze procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards and reports to track KPIs, spend, savings, and supplier performance.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, delivery performance, and contractual compliance.
• Support supplier selection, qualification, onboarding, and performance management activities.
• Monitor on-time delivery and quality specifications to ensure suppliers meet agreed requirements.
• Identify supplier risks and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve delivery, quality, cost, and compliance issues.
• Create and manage sourcing projects within ERP systems, ensuring accurate project data and documentation.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives through market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and procurement insights.
• Conduct supplier negotiations related to pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, and commercial conditions.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction and value-optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
• Support contract management, including contract terms, compliance, renewals, and supplier obligations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Operations, Quality, and Business stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business requirements.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills when working with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Track sourcing project progress, savings, supplier outcomes, and procurement KPIs.
