JoVE is seeking a Science Writer to craft accurate, engaging scientific content for a global audience. The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear content.

The role involves converting manuscripts into transcript and video scripts, guiding manuscripts through JoVE's video creation process, proofreading for accuracy, and collaborating with authors.

Qualificações

• PhD in biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, chemistry, or related natural science discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in scientific communication, technical writing, or educational content creation.
• Experience in content development is preferred.
• Strong scientific and technical vocabulary with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated strength in editing and proofreading.
• Ability to apply AI-assisted tools in writing, editing, or content development workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify scientific inaccuracies in written and visual materials.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines and consistently meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional production teams.
• Enthusiasm for science and a willingness to learn about new research areas and visual communication methods.
• A record of original research published in peer-reviewed scientific journals is strongly preferred.
