Job summary

JoVE is seeking a post-production manager to lead an editing team in India. You'll oversee the post-production process, ensuring high quality and consistency with company standards. The ideal candidate has over 5 years in video post-production and at least 2 years in team management, along with strong expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor the editing team, assigning projects based on capacity and deadlines.


• Oversee the entire post‑production workflow, ensuring consistency with JoVE standards, templates, and scripts.


• Provide feedback and training to editors, ensuring high-quality outputs.


• Troubleshoot technical or editorial issues and coordinate solutions with producers and content managers.


• Ensure adherence to quality and project timelines.


• Continuously improve workflows for scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in video post-production, preferably in scientific, educational, or media environments.


• 2+ years managing or leading teams.


• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop).


• Strong project management skills, managing multiple deadlines and teams.


• Familiarity with remote post-production, cloud-based tools, and AI‑assisted workflows (transcription, automation, etc.).


• Excellent communication skills and a passion for science communication.


• Experience using project management platforms (e.g., Trello, Asana) to oversee progress and ensure timeline adherence.


• Proficiency with review and approval platforms, such as Frame.io, to facilitate feedback loops.


• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
