Job summary

Banyan Tree Schools in Delhi is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher with a Physics background to teach Science and Physics to students from Classes VI to XII and support their academic development, scientific thinking, curiosity, and overall learning.

Reports To: Principal / Head of School. Employment Type: Full-Time. Location: Lodhi Road. Requires Master’s in Physics and B.Ed. with 3–5 years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Physics / Applied Physics or a relevant Science subject.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) / equivalent teaching qualification (Mandatory).
• 3–5 years of relevant school teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct age-appropriate Science classes for Classes VI to XII, with focus on Physics at senior levels.
• Explain scientific and Physics concepts through clear, practical, and engaging teaching methods.
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, worksheets, and assessments.
• Conduct and supervise Science/Physics experiments and laboratory activities safely.
• Assess students’ understanding, performance, skills, and progress.
• Encourage scientific thinking, curiosity, problem-solving, and application of concepts.
• Provide academic support and guidance to students as required.
• Prepare students for examinations, projects, practicals, and academic competitions.
• Maintain attendance, assessment, practical, and academic records.
• Work with teachers and school leadership to support students’ overall academic development.

Essential Requirements
