Job summary

ZielClasses seeks a dynamic Science Faculty & Academic Curriculum Specialist who can teach Physics, Chemistry or Biology with specialization for Classes 11–12. The role combines teaching, academic planning and student mentoring.

The ideal candidate should work across CBSE, ICSE/ISC, IGCSE and IB curricula, with strong IGCSE/IB exposure. Additional ability to teach other science subjects at junior levels is welcome. Experience with curriculum development and assessment design is preferred.

• Ability to teach across Classes 6–12 with senior focus for 11–12.

ZielClasses is looking for a dynamic and academically strong Science Faculty & Academic Curriculum Specialist who can teach Physics, Chemistry, or Biology, with specialisation in at least one subject for Classes 11–12.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable teaching across multiple school boards and should have a strong understanding of CBSE, ICSE/ISC, IGCSE, IB and other major curricula. Experience with IGCSE and IB will be strongly preferred.

The role combines teaching, academic planning, curriculum understanding and student mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Academic Delivery
• Teach Physics, Chemistry and/or Biology for Classes 6–12, based on expertise.
• Have strong subject specialisation in at least one Science subject for Classes 11–12.
• Conduct engaging, concept-driven and interactive classes.
• Prepare students for school examinations, board examinations and competitive academic requirements where applicable.
• Use practical examples, experiments, demonstrations and real-world applications to strengthen conceptual understanding.
• Identify student learning gaps and provide appropriate academic support.
• Curriculum & Board Expertise
• Develop a strong understanding of the syllabus and assessment patterns of:
  • CBSE
  • ICSE / ISC
  • IGCSE
  • IB / MYP / DP
  • Other major international and Indian curricula.
• Adapt teaching methodology according to the requirements of different boards.
• Analyse syllabus changes, examination patterns and assessment requirements.

The candidate must have strong command over one specialised subject at Classes 11–12 level, such as:

Additional ability to teach another Science subject at junior/middle-school level will be an advantage.

• Participate in curriculum planning and academic review meetings.

Candidate Profile

Essential

• Strong academic background in Physics, Chemistry or Biology.
• Ability to teach Science confidently across multiple grade levels.
• Strong conceptual understanding rather than purely textbook-based teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and structured manner.
• Comfortable working with different curricula and adapting teaching strategies.
• Professional attitude with strong punctuality and ownership.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an academic team.

Preferred

• IGCSE teaching experience strongly preferred
• IB / MYP / DP teaching experience strongly preferred
• Experience teaching CBSE and ICSE/ISC.
• Experience preparing students for Classes 11–12 board examinations.
• Experience creating curriculum, worksheets, assessments and academic resources.
• Experience with international students or online teaching will be an advantage.
