Strong expertise in SAP Workflow, workflow architecture, configuration, development, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, and modern ABAP development practices.

Design, configure, develop, and enhance SAP workflows to automate business processes and approvals.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Workflow Design & Developer with 10+ years of SAP technical experience and strong expertise in SAP Workflow, ABAP, and SAP BTP. The role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and optimizing workflow-driven solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise combined with a solid understanding of business processes across procurement, supply chain, finance, and other SAP modules. You will work closely with business users, functional teams, BASIS, and security teams to translate business requirements into scalable workflow solutions and provide end-to-end technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, develop, and enhance SAP workflows to automate business processes, approvals, notifications, and escalations.
Implement workflow components including event linkages, BOR objects/classes, tasks, task containers, deadline monitoring, substitutions, and escalation mechanisms.
Develop and configure workflow user tasks using SAP Fiori/UI5, My Inbox, SAP GUI, and Web Dynpro.
Create custom workflow templates, rules, and decision logic using BRF+, Rule Resolution, Function Modules, and organizational objects.
Optimize workflow inboxes and improve workflow usability and processing efficiency.
Design and develop workflows supporting business processes across procurement, finance, supply chain, and other SAP modules.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve workflow issues in production environments using tools such as SWI1 and SWIA.
Develop and deliver ABAP solutions across various S/4HANA modules based on business and functional requirements.
Independently manage end-to-end ABAP development activities, including technical design, coding, testing, debugging, deployment, and support.
Review functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs and development specifications.
Perform ABAP debugging, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement appropriate optimization strategies.
Conduct technical code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and design recommendations for complex SAP workflow and ABAP requirements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional consultants, BASIS, security, and other technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Work with SAP BTP services to develop and integrate cloud-based capabilities supporting SAP business processes.
Prepare technical documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing and support activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
10+ years of overall SAP technical experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Workflow design and development.
Strong expertise in SAP Workflow, workflow architecture, configuration, development, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP, Object-Oriented ABAP, and modern ABAP development practices.
Experience with modern SAP technologies including CDS Views and OData.
Proficiency with SAP Workflow Builder, Business Object Builder, UWL, and related workflow tools.
Strong understanding of workflow design and development for key SAP business processes across multiple modules.
Experience with BRF+ and workflow rule configuration.
Hands-on experience with SAP BTP and the ability to work with relevant BTP services.
Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to independently manage technical solutions from design through deployment.

Good-to-Have Skills

Experience with SAP ABAP development in S/4HANA environments.
Strong knowledge of ABAP CDS.
Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 and My Inbox.
Exposure to OData services and SAP integration technologies.
Experience working with SAP BTP integrations and cloud-based extensions.
Knowledge of procurement, finance, supply chain, and other enterprise business processes.
Experience collaborating with BASIS and security teams in complex SAP environments.
