Job description

Role & responsibilities

• 1. Clean Core Strategy & Governance
  • Define and enforce Clean Core / Core Integrity Principles (CIP) across ERP landscape
  • Establish guidelines for minimizing custom code and ensuring standard adoption
  • Govern technical design decisions to prevent unnecessary deviations from standard
  • Lead code reviews, technical assessments, and compliance checks (e.g., ATC, SAP tools)
• 2. SAP BTP Enablement & Extension Strategy
  • Define and implement SAP BTP strategy for extensions, integrations, and innovation
  • Guide teams on when to use BTP vs core ERP enhancements
  • Enable development of side-by-side extensions using SAP BTP services
  • Promote reuse of services across ERP and non-ERP applications
• 3. Technical Architecture & Solution Design
  • Define and maintain ERP technical architecture aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance system design
  • Collaborate with Solution Engineers and Architects on technical decisions
  • Ensure alignment across ERP, integrations, and surrounding systems
• 4. Integration & Platform Enablement
  • Oversee integration architecture (APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture)
  • Collaborate with integration/platform teams to ensure consistency across systems
  • Enable cross-product/platform capabilities (identity, monitoring, security, etc.)
  • Ensure ERP is not isolated but part of a broader enterprise ecosystem
• 5. Development Standards & Quality Assurance
  • Define development standards for ABAP, Fiori, BTP, and integrations
  • Ensure high-quality code, performance, and maintainability
  • Lead technical design reviews and enforce best practices
  • Drive automation in code quality, testing, and deployment
• 6. Collaboration with Delivery & AMS
  • Work closely with BPEs and Solution Engineers to ensure feasible technical solutions
  • Support AMS provider with technical governance and escalation handling
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and reduce dependency on external vendors
  • Enable stable and scalable operations post go-live
• 7. Template & Transformation Support
  • Support development and governance of global ERP template (e.g., Symphony)
  • Ensure technical consistency across rollout waves and regions
  • Enable reusable technical components and accelerators
  • Support transformation from legacy ERP to target architecture

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10–15+ years of SAP technical experience (S/4HANA preferred)
• Strong expertise in ABAP, Fiori/UI5, and SAP BTP
• Proven experience in SAP architecture and large-scale ERP transformations
• Deep understanding of Clean Core principles and modern SAP architecture
• Strong experience in integration technologies (APIs, middleware, BTP Integration Suite)
• Experience working in global and GCC/offshore delivery models
• Experience managing technical teams and vendors
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English
