You will drive design, build enterprise-grade extensions, and deliver high-performance OData V4 services using RAP and SAP BTP to empower modern Fiori apps and complex integrations.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in SAP ABAP development, with hands-on S/4HANA, RAP, and OData V4 experience, and a strong understanding of BRF+, CDS, AMDP, and ABAP

An experienced and highly skilled Senior SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with 5 to 10 years of hands‑on experience to join our SAP technical leadership team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in both traditional development (ABAP, RICEFW, BRF+, Fiori) and modern SAP technologies (SAP S/4HANA, RAP, OData V4, and SAP BTP).

In this role, you will lead technical design, build enterprise‑grade extensions, and develop high‑performance OData V4 services using the RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and BTP to support modern SAP Fiori applications and complex side‑by‑side integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Modern API & OData V4 Services:
  • Design, build, and optimize high-performance OData V4 services using SAP RAP and Service Binding frameworks for consumption by Fiori Elements, SAP Analytics, and third‑party systems.
  • Implement advanced OData V4 features including draft handling, deep inserts, batch processing, action/function bindings, and deferred loading.
• Modern S/4HANA & BTP Development:
  • Develop custom applications using the SAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) in both Managed and Unmanaged scenarios.
  • Author complex Core Data Services (CDS) Views, Table Functions, and AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures) with optimized V4 annotations.
  • Extend standard SAP S/4HANA processes via SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using the ABAP Environment (Steampunk) and side‑by‑side extension patterns.
• Core ABAP, BRF+, Fiori,UI5,& RICEFW:
  • Design and deliver robust RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows).
  • Build custom business rules, decision tables, and dynamic processing logic using BRF+ (Business Rule Framework Plus).
  • Implement modern enhancement options (BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements).
• Code Quality, Performance & Governance:
  • Conduct performance tuning, SQL trace analysis, and execution plan diagnosis using tools such as ATC, ST05, SAT, and ST12.
  • Enforce SAP Clean Core principles, ABAP Cloud guidelines, and robust security standards across all deliverables.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Work with Solution Architects and Functional Leads to convert complex business requirements into scalable Technical Specification Documents (TSDs).
  • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skillset

Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 5 to 10 years in SAP ABAP development, including 2+ years of hands‑on experience in S/4HANA, RAP, and OData V4.

Technical Capabilities:

• API & Protocols: OData V4 (Primary), REST/JSON APIs, SOAP, RFC, Service Definition & Service Binding in ADT.
• S/4HANA & RAP: SAP RAP Framework, CDS View Entities, AMDP, Annotations (@OData.publish, UI/Search annotations), Draft Handling.
• SAP BTP: SAP BTP ABAP Environment, side‑by‑side extensions, Integration Suite, or Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) integration.
• Business Rules: BRF+ application development, decision tables, dynamic functions, and ABAP/S4 integration.
• Traditional ABAP: OO ABAP, ALV, BAPIs, IDOCs, ALE, SmartForms/Adobe Forms, and SAP Business Workflow.
• Quality & Tuning: ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC), ABAP Development Tools (ADT in Eclipse), ST05 Trace, AMDP Profiling.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• SAP Certification: SAP Certified Development Associate - SAP BTP / RAP or SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA.
• Front‑end awareness of SAP Fiori Elements consuming OData V4 services.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Git-enabled ABAP (abapGit), and agile delivery methodologies
