Job summary

Owens & Minor, a global healthcare solutions company, seeks a SAP BW Analyst with techno-functional expertise to deliver BW development and support for SAP ECC and BW Production systems. The role requires coordinating with ABAP, BI, Snowflake, and Power BI teams.

Candidate should have 8–10 years of SAP BW/BI experience, strong BW 7.x knowledge, and familiarity with FICO, SD, MM modules. On-site/offshore coordination and data reconciliation across ECC and BW are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive SAP BW/BI experience (7.3/7.5), techno-functional focus.
• Strong SAP BW architecture understanding, with Finance/Controlling, SD, MM modules.
• Deep knowledge of BW 7.x modeling, ETL, BEx reports, data loading
• 2–3 years of Power BI experience, report/dashboard design and optimization.
• ABAP knowledge for BW enhancements and testing.
• Experience with ECC 6.0 extractors and BW data reconciliation.
• On-site/offshore coordination experience in incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SAP BW development and support for BW/ ECC environments.
• Coordinate with ABAP, BI, SNP Glue, IBP, BW/BODS, Snowflake, and Power BI teams.
• Design and implement BW data models, data loads, and performance tuning.
• Create technical specs and ABAP programming for BW solutions.
• Maintain BW extracts from ECC (FI/CO, SD) and validate data reconciliation.
• Provide technical training on BW 7.x as needed.
• Collaborate with regional/global teams to resolve issues.

Summary :

The SAP BW Analyst, Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible for the delivery of SAP BW development and support of the SAP ECC and BW Production systems area(s). Coordinates with technical team members across the organization and includes ABAP, Control M, SAP Functional, SNP Glue, SAP IBP, BW/BODS, Snowflake and PowerBI teams.

Essential Job Functions :

• Around 8-10 years of techno - functional experience with SAP BW/BI including 7.3 and 7.5 version experience.
• SAP BW architectural understandings of 7.x Ver BW and strong SAP BW related Financial Functional background that includes Finance, Controlling, logistics and SD Modules.
• Very good understating of LSA Architecture on BW 7.x
• Very good experience in support activities in SAP BW 7.x
• Deep knowledge BW modeling on SAP BW 7.x, ETL process, BEx reports, performance optimization, Data load monitoring
• Perform analysis and design; write technical specifications; configuration and ABAP programming in the SAP BW environment including testing and implementation.
• Deep knowledge of SAP BI Content extractors from the ECC system and working knowledge of SAP structures, object dependencies and tables in version ECC 6.0 environment.
• Extensive experience in reconciling ECC data with BW data.
• 2 to 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft PowerBI including, designing reports, building dashboards and query performance tuning.
• Extensively worked on extractors including LO Cockpit, FI/CO, SD and Flat Files.
• ABAP knowledge to handle SAP BW enhancements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills should be a team player.
• On site / Offshore coordination in resolving support tickets.
• SAP Functional Knowledge is essential such as FICO, SD, MM
• Designs and delivers technical training programs based on business needs.
• Assists development of technology specific solutions on BW 7.x
• Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiation and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge on CPI-DS integration to IBP and BW
• Performs other duties as assigned by technical leads.
• Flexible in working with regional/global teams when needed.
