Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SAP SD / TM Lead to drive transportation and logistics execution in large SAP S/4HANA transformations. You will own end-to-end transportation planning, execution, settlement, and carrier integration, aligning with SAP best practices.

You will lead cross-functional teams, run Fit-to-Standard workshops, manage data conversion, integration with EWM/SD/MM, and oversee testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Qualifications

• 10–12+ years of SAP experience with strong hands‑on expertise in SAP Transportation Management, SD and logistics processes
• At least 2–3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a SD/TM Lead role
• Exposure to end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations including TM integration with EWM, SD, MM, and GTS

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP SD / TM workstreams in S/4HANA transformation programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or SDT).
• Own end-to-end Transportation Planning, Execution, and Settlement processes.
• Act as primary escalation point for TM-related topics.
• Drive solution design and hands‑on configuration for SAP SD / TM including freight order management, planning, carrier selection, and settlement.
• Ensure alignment with S/4HANA logistics architecture and SAP best practices.
• Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and data conversion activities; manage master data and interfaces.
• Coordinate with SD, MM, WM/EWM, GTS, FI/CO teams; ensure seamless Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Warehouse, and Transportation processes.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedSAP S/4HANA SD / Transportation Management (TM) Leadto leadtransportation and logistics execution workstreamsin large-scaleSAP S/4HANA transformation projects. The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of transportation planning, execution, settlement, and carrier integration, ensuring alignment with SAP S/4 HANA best practices and enterprise logistics strategies.

The TM Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and cross-functional SAP teams to deliver a scalable, compliant, and high-performing transportation solution.

Key Responsibilities

• LeadSAP SD / TM workstreamsin S/4HANA transformation programs (Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition).
• Own end-to-endTransportation Planning, Execution, and Settlementprocesses.
• Act as the primary escalation point for TM-related topics.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Drive solution design and hands-on configuration forSAP SD / TM, including:
  • Freight Order and Freight Unit management
  • Transportation planning (manual and optimizer-based)
  • Carrier selection, tendering, and subcontracting
  • Freight settlement and charge calculation
• Ensure alignment withS/4HANA logistics architectureand SAP best practices.

S/4HANA Transformation Activities

• LeadFit-to-Standard (F2S)workshops and logistics process harmonization.
• Assess and managecustom code (RICEFW) impactsfor TM in S/4HANA.
• Guide logistics and transportationmaster data conversion and validation.

Integration & Cross-Module Coordination

• Coordinate closely withSD, MM, WM/EWM, GTS, and FI/COteams.
• Ensure seamless integration acrossOrder-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Warehouse, and Transportationprocesses.
• Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, CPI, middleware) for carrier interfaces and tracking integrations.

Testing, Cutover & Go-Live

• Leadunit testing, SIT, UAT, and defect management for TM scenarios.
• Owncutover planningfor open shipments, freight orders, and settlement data.
• Providego-live and hypercare support, ensuring logistics continuity.

Governance & Team Leadership

• Ensure adherence toSAP Activate methodology, project standards, and documentation.
• Review and approve functional designs, configurations, and test artifacts.
• Mentor TM consultants and support knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience

SAP SD / TM Expertise

• 10–12+ years of SAP experience with strong hands‑on expertise in:
  • SAP Transportation Management, SD
  • Logistics Execution and transportation processes
• At least2–3 full-cycle SAP S/4HANA transformation projects in a SD / TM Lead role.
• Strong understanding ofend-to-end supply chain and logistics operations.
• Experience with:
  • Embedded TM in S/4HANA
  • TM integration with EWM, SD, MM, and GTS
  • Freight settlement and charge calculation
• Exposure toreal‑time tracking, carrier collaboration portals, or IoT integrationis a plus.
• Knowledge on LeanIX, Signavio for process flow preparation and discussion with business team, is an added advantage.

Leadership & Delivery Skills

• Proven experience leading TM delivery in large SAP programs.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working inglobal, multi-country and onshore–offshore delivery models.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA certification in Transportation Management
• Experience withSAP Activate methodology
• Industry experience in Manufacturing, Automotive, Retail, or Logistics Service Providers
• Exposure toAdvanced ATP, Yard Logistics, or EWMis an advantage
