Job summary

Acumant is seeking a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA TM Consultant to design, configure, and implement Transportation Management solutions in a complex, multi-system environment. You will work on end-to-end logistics processes across transportation planning, warehouse execution, and external carrier networks.

The role emphasizes deep integration with SAP TM, EWM, IM and external systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, with interfaces using CPI, IDocs, web services, and APIs.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years in SAP S/4HANA TM configuration and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of SAP TM, EWM, and IM integration.
• Experience with OTM or 3PL integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end logistics solutions including planning and carrier networks.
• Configure Freight Units, Orders, profiles, charges, and freight settlement.
• Integrate SAP TM with EWM/IM via interfaces (EDI, IDoc, APIs).
• Ensure data flow for delivery creation, goods issue, tracking, cross-docking.
• Lead integration testing and provide hypercare support post-implementation.

Job description

We are looking for a highly skilledSAP S/4HANA TM Consultantwho can design, configure, and implement comprehensive Transportation Management solutions.

The role requires strong integration expertise, particularly betweenSAP TM, EWM, Inventory Management (IM), and external systems such asOracle Transportation Management (OTM)and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Solution Architecture:Design end-to-end logistics solutions covering transportation planning, warehouse execution, and external carrier networks.
• SAP TM Configuration:Configure Freight Units, Freight Orders, planning profiles, carrier selection, charge management, and freight settlement.
• EWM & IM Integration:Configure integration between SAP TM and EWM/IM for synchronized loading, Advanced Shipping Notifications (ASN), and warehouse staging.
• Interface Management:Design and maintain interfaces using EDI, ALE/IDoc, and APIs to connect S/4HANA with external OTM and 3PL systems.
• Process Orchestration:Ensure seamless data flow for delivery creation, goods issue, tracking events, and cross-docking processes.
• Testing & Support:Lead end-to-end integration testing across SAP modules and external platforms and provide hypercare support after implementation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• SAP TM:4–6 years of hands‑on configuration experience in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management, either embedded or standalone.
• SAP EWM & IM:Strong technical and functional knowledge of SAP EWM and MM-IM integration points.
• External Integrations:Experience integrating SAP with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or multi-carrier/3PL platforms.
• Technical Interface Skills:Strong experience with:

  • EDI transaction sets such as 204, 214, and 856
• Logistics Execution:Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, multi-mode transportation, and freight cost distribution.
