Job summary

Jobtailor in Pune, India, seeks a senior SAP PM/S/4HANA consultant to support and implement Plant Maintenance solutions for Production Services. You will consult, design, rollout, operate, and continuously enhance sustainable IT solutions.

You will translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external consultants, and contribute to testing, deployments, OSS notes, and upgrades within the S/4HANA transformation program.

Qualifications

• 7 years of SAP PM / Plant Maintenance experience as a consultant or similar role.
• Strong ABAP development, debugging, interfaces, and SAP upgrades.
• Clear English communication.
• Ability to work independently and with stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and/or SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.

Job description

Support and implement SAP S/4HANA solutions in Production Services and Plant Maintenance
Provide consulting, conception, rollout, operation, and continuous enhancement of sustainable IT solutions
Analyze business needs, IT requirements, user experience aspects, and non-functional requirements
Translate requirements into detailed solutions, integration, and technical specifications
Discuss and refine requirements with business stakeholders, technical specialists, and vendors
Design, customize, configure, enhance, and support SAP PM solutions and applications in SAP ERP / S/4HANA
Define SAP PM solutions aligned with business processes and enterprise architecture
Collaborate with development teams to track implementation progress and ensure solution quality
Document solution decisions, technical specifications, and changes
Plan, coordinate, and support unit, functional, and business approval testing
Support production deployment and compliance with quality gates
Contribute to OSS notes, support packages, upgrades, and release-related changes
Support process harmonization and system integration within the S/4HANA transformation program

Requirements

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
• 7 years of relevant professional experience in SAP PM / Plant Maintenance as a consultant, solution engineer, application engineer, or similar role
• Good technical understanding of ABAP development, debugging, enhancements, interfaces, Fiori, SAP Notes, and SAP upgrades
• Clear communication in English
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external consultants
• Strong motivation to develop as a Solution Engineer and continuously expand technical and business knowledge
• Practical experience with SAP Plant Maintenance and/or SAP S/4HANA is advantageous
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into clear, practical, sustainable functional or technical solutions
