Job summary

Fujitsu is seeking a seasoned SAP Project Manager for a Greenfield migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA. The role requires steering the migration across planning, execution, and delivery, coordinating SAP consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition with minimal business disruption.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and familiarity with SAP Activate, data load strategies, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, IT, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 8+ years PM experience in SAP S/4HANA migrations (Greenfield/Brownfield/SDT/Bluefield).
• Proven leadership of SAP S/4HANA migration projects, esp. Greenfield.
• Experience with onshore/offshore SAP teams; PMP desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP ECC and S/4HANA, migration tools.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Manager with expertise in Greenfield implementation and transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA using the SAP Activate Methodology. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all phases of the migration project, from planning and execution to delivery, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Strategy

• Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for the migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA using Greenfield implementation.
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements in alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Establish project governance structure, roles/responsibilities, and communication protocols to ensure effective project management.

Team Leadership And Management

• Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, including SAP consultants, technical experts, and business stakeholders.
• Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to team members to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.

Green Field Data Loads

• Oversee all aspects of the migration process, including data extraction, transformation, and loading using DS/ETL.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency throughout the migration process.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to minimize downtime and disruptions during migration.

Stakeholder Engagement And Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT management, and project sponsors.
• Provide regular updates, progress reports, and presentations to stakeholders on project status, milestones, and risks.
• Proactively address stakeholder concerns and expectations, ensuring alignment and buy-in throughout the migration process.

Quality Assurance And Risk Management

• Implement quality assurance processes and controls to ensure the successful delivery of the migration project within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
• Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies early in the project lifecycle and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of project activities to monitor progress and address any deviations from the project plan.

Change Management And Training

• Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate user adoption of SAP S/4HANA and minimize resistance to change.
• Plan and coordinate training programs and knowledge transfer sessions to educate end-users on the new system and processes.
• Provide ongoing support and assistance to end-users during the transition period to ensure a smooth migration experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on SAP S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, Selective Data Transfer/Bluefield implementations and migrations.
• Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA migration projects, particularly using Greenfield implantation.
• Experience leading onshore and offshore SAP functional and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA modules, architecture, and migration tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
• Experience in chemical and Petrochimical experience is added advantage.
• SAP Activate Methodology Certification is a plus.
• Experience with change management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management methodologies.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions.
• Positive attitude and proactive nature to work with Cross-Teams.
• Working knowledge of agile and waterfall development methodologies.
