Role Overview
We are currently seeking a SAP Project Manager to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full lifecycle SAP implementation projects from initiation to go-live and hypercare.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Manage project scope, budget, and risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals.
- Act as the primary liaison between business leaders, IT teams, SAP consultants, and external vendors.
- Conduct steering committee meetings and provide project status reports.
- Manage expectations and ensure alignment between global and local stakeholders.
- Apply SAP implementation methodologies such as SAP Activate, ASAP Methodology, Agile or Hybrid approaches.
- Manage cross‑functional teams including SAP functional consultants (MM, SD, FICO, PP, QM, etc.), SAP technical teams (ABAP, Basis, Integration), and business process owners.
- Coordinate internal teams and external implementation partners.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Track and resolve project issues and dependencies, and ensure change management processes are followed.
- Manage project financials including budget, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Monitor project costs and ensure optimal utilization of project resources.
- Oversee testing phases: unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Lead cutover planning and go‑live execution.
- Ensure smooth transition into post‑go‑live support (hyper‑care).
- Support business change management initiatives.
- Ensure training materials and knowledge transfer to business users.
- Manage communication across impacted business units.
Required Skills
- Strong experience managing SAP implementation projects (ECC or S/4HANA).
- Deep understanding of ERP processes across modules (FICO, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
- Experience managing large global transformation programs.
- Strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of IT or ERP project experience.
- 5+ years managing SAP implementations.
- Experience with multi‑country SAP rollout or transformation programs.
