Job summary

Sopra Steria Group in Chennai/Noida is seeking an experienced SAP PP/PM consultant with QM exposure to drive end-to-end rollout projects. The candidate should understand template design, regional requirements, and maintain strong client communication across multi-site deployments.

Required 6–10 years of production planning experience, hands-on SAP PP and S/4 HANA familiarity, and willingness to travel to customer locations as needed. A professional engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Domain expertise in Production Planning with SAP QM knowledge.
• Experience in template design, rollout, and country/region requirements.
• Must have SAP Rollout project experience, especially in PP.
• Knowledge of Demand Management, MRP, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP PP/QM functional design and rollout across regions.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Contribute to template design, GAP analysis, and end-to-end processes.
• Support ABAP-related enhancements and interfaces as needed.

Job Description

• 6-10years design/implementation/consulting experience with SAP Production planning (SAP PP) with fair knowledge on SAP QM(Quality) processes.
• Should have worked in at least two end-to-end Implementation project starting from

build and deploy of pilot templates, rollout of templates across regions and support

experience.

• Experience in at least one S/4 HANA project is preferred.
• Good business process knowledge and consulting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Structure approach to collaborating with team and stakeholders using JIRA etc. and ALM for Test case writing.
• Personality: willingness to learn, entrepreneurial mindset, creative, pro-active, independent, strong analytical skills, passionate, flexible, innovative, assertive, convincing, team player, reliable, willing to go the extra-mile when needed.
• Working style: customer-oriented, target-oriented, challenging status quo, collaborative, analytical, structured, strategic vision.
• Resource should have a Professional graduation.
• Willing to travel to customer locations for projects requirements.

Work Experience:

• Domain expertise in Production Planning Functional area + Fair knowledge on SAP QM(Quality) processes.
• Should be able to understand the template design and identify the gaps for rollout related to country / region specific requirements.
• Must have experience on SAP Rollout projects, especially in SAP PP processes.
• Must have good knowledge in production planning areas such as Demand management and MRP.
• Must have good knowledge in capacity planning process.
• Must have good knowledge in Production order management using Discrete production method.
• Experience in Enhancements using User-Exits / BAPIs.
• Experience in Interfaces with SAP and Non-SAP systems and ALE/IDOCs.
• Good Integration knowledge of SAP Modules such as MM, SD, and PM.
• Strong client-facing experience.
• Should have thorough knowledge on Production - Master Data, Planning Scenarios, Demand Management, MRP, Shop floor Control, Special process such as Subcontracting, Engg. Change Mgmt., Batch.
• Should have good exposure to Production Resource Tools management.
• Ability to configure, manage master data changes, end-to-end process flow.
• Good to have ABAP technical knowledge.
• Ability to design FS, End User Training Document.
• Experience in EDI set-up and interfaces to other external systems.
