Job summary

Fujitsu in India seeks an experienced SAP PP/QM consultant to drive end-to-end quality management and production planning in a multi-location environment (Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida, Pune). You will design and implement QM/PP configurations, ensure tight integration with MM/SD and MES layers, and lead validation workshops with process owners.

The role requires deep S/4HANA expertise (1909+), strong analytic skills, and the ability to create auditable specifications and test scripts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years SAP consulting with 5+ full lifecycle implementations.
• Deep QM configuration: inspection planning, MICs, sampling, inspection lot origins, results recording, usage decisions, defect recording, notifications, catalogs and quality info records.
• Deep PP configuration: BOMs, routings, work centers, order types and status, confirmations, backflush, goods movements and settlement interfaces.
• PP–QM–MM–SD integration with S/4HANA and MES.
• Ability to run fit/gap workshops and produce auditable functional specifications, configuration documentation and test scripts.
• Judgment to distinguish a genuine standard gap from a legacy habit, and the communication skill to defend a standard solution.

Responsibilities

• Lead PP and QM validation workshops with process owners; close open items and convert feasibility findings into signed-off functional design.
• Configure discrete production: material master, BOMs, routings, work centers, order types and status, confirmations, backflush and goods-movement design across four plants.
• Design the QM master-data foundation — inspection types (01/03/04/10), inspection plans, master inspection characteristics, sampling procedures and schemes, catalogs and quality info records.
• Configure the inspection lifecycle end to end: automatic lot creation, results and defect recording, usage decisions and resulting stock postings; design calculated characteristics using the standard control indicator.
• Design inbound quality (PO-based inspection lots ahead of goods receipt, supplier certificates via DMS, vendor scorecards), outbound quality (delivery lots, certificates of quality, PGI gating) and quality notifications for complaints and internal issues.
• Design first-piece and in-process inspection as a shop-floor release gate captured in SAP DM and posted back to S/4HANA inspection lots; own PP–QM–MM–SD and S/4HANA SAP DM integration.
• Adopt standard QM analytical Fiori apps for inspection analytics; hand composite business KPIs to the analytics workstream.
• Prepare and execute testing, and author configuration, test and training documentation

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years SAP consulting with 5+ full-lifecycle implementations and hands-on configuration responsibility in both PP and QM; at least 2 on S/4HANA (1909 or later).
• Deep QM configuration expertise: inspection planning, MICs, sampling, inspection lot origins, results recording, usage decisions, defect recording, notifications, catalogs and quality info records.
• Deep PP configuration expertise for discrete manufacturing: BOMs, routings, work centers, order types and status, confirmations, backflush, goods movements and settlement interfaces.
• QM delivery in a regulated or traceability-intensive discrete environment (automotive, electronics, medical devices, aerospace or similar).
• Proven PP–QM–MM–SD integration experience, including integrating S/4HANA QM with an MES or shop-floor execution layer.
• Ability to run fit/gap workshops with business process owners and produce auditable functional specifications, configuration documentation and test scripts.
• Judgment to distinguish a genuine standard gap from a legacy habit, and the communication skill to defend a standard solution to a business attached to its current process.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Japanese (business level); prior delivery in Japan or with Japanese manufacturing clients.
• SAP Digital Manufacturing, SAP ME or MII experience, particularly QM integration and in-process data collection.
• Experience extending an existing global S/4HANA template rather than standing up a parallel core.
• FMEA, audit management, control plans, calibration / test equipment management (QM-IM) or stability studies.
• SAP BTP clean-core extensibility, CDS-based analytics, and familiarity with J-SOX controls over quality records and electronic sign-off.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Manufacturing (Production Planning) and/or Quality Management.
