Job summary

Forward Eye Technologies is seeking an SAP PI/PO Advanced Consultant to drive integration projects in Pune, India. You will implement interfaces, mappings, and adapters to connect SAP systems with external applications and ensure reliable data exchanges.

Responsibilities include end-to-end integration design, development, testing, and production support. You will work with SAP PI/PO, BPM, security configurations, and monitoring tools to optimize performance and resolve complex interface issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP PI/PO architecture, configuration, and management.
• Experience configuring adapters like File, JDBC, SOAP, REST, RFC, IDoc, SFTP, HTTP.
• Skilled in graphical mapping, XSLT, Java mapping, ABAP Proxy.
• Knowledge of secure communications using SSL, TLS, and certificates.

Job description

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide advanced technical support and configuration expertise for SAP Process Integration (PI) and Process Orchestration (PO).
• Ensure seamless data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems using SAP PI/PO as the middleware platform.
• Manage End-to-End (E2E) integration scenarios, including design, development, and support.
• Design and develop complex integration flows using PI/PO tools such as ESR (Enterprise Service Repository) and ID (Integration Directory).
• Develop interfaces using various adapters like SOAP, REST, IDoc, JMS, RFC, SFTP, and HTTP to integrate SAP systems with external applications.
• Handle integration flows for different modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, HCM, CRM, and others.
• Develop complex message mappings using Graphical Mapping, XSLT, and Java Mapping for transforming messages between source and target systems.
• Implement value mapping, multi-mapping, content-based routing, and dynamic message routing within PI/PO integration flows.
• Configure and monitor integration processes to ensure that business requirements are met, and system performance is optimized.
• Use SAP PO BPM (Business Process Management) to manage process workflows and ensure business logic is implemented correctly.
• Analyze and resolve complex issues related to interface failures, message transformation errors, and system performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize PI/PO system performance by tuning performance parameters, analyzing log files, and resolving connectivity issues.
• Configure and manage different adapters such as File, JDBC, SOAP, REST, and Proxy, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
• Perform certificate management and configure SSL/TLS for secure communication between systems.
• Perform comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing for all developed interfaces to ensure they meet business requirements.
• Create test plans and ensure all interfaces function correctly in various scenarios, including load testing and error handling.
• Participate in system upgrades and patches for SAP PI/PO, ensuring compatibility of custom integrations with newer versions.
• Validate existing interfaces after upgrades and implement changes to custom solutions as required.
• Create detailed technical documentation for all integration processes, including interface design, configurations, mappings, and testing procedures.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for clients and internal teams to ensure the ongoing operation of integration solutions.
• Provide L2/L3 support for critical issues related to SAP PI/PO and integration workflows.
• Perform regular maintenance, including log monitoring, error handling, and issue resolution for ongoing integrations.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required :

• SAP PI/PO : In-depth knowledge of SAP PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration) architecture, configuration, and management.
• Adapters : Strong experience in configuring and using various adapters such as File, JDBC, SOAP, REST, RFC, IDoc, SFTP, and HTTP.
• Mappings : Expertise in Graphical Mapping, XSLT, Java Mapping, and ABAP Proxy for message transformation.
• Integration Protocols : Knowledge of XML, EDI, JSON, OData, and SOAP-based web services.
• BPM : Experience in SAP BPM (Business Process Management) for managing business process workflows.
• Security : Proficiency in setting up secure communication using SSL, TLS, and certificate management.
• Monitoring Tools : Proficient in using SAP Solution Manager, PI Monitoring Tools, and other logging mechanisms to monitor and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Development : Familiarity with Java, ABAP, and other scripting languages used for custom development in PI/PO environments.
