Job summary

Alstom in Bengaluru is seeking a full-time SAP Operations Specialist to ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the SAP landscape across business domains. You will work with business process owners, key users, and domain leaders to manage incidents and changes, driving operational excellence.

You will coordinate SAP changes, ensure IT security and quality standards, and maintain governance with partners while contributing to documentation and improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in SAP operations management across ECC, Fiori, PI/PO, and related systems
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service delivery management
• Familiarity with SAP change management processes and release coordination
• SAP or ITIL certifications are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Oversee daily monitoring, batch processing, system health checks, and proactive maintenance
• Prioritize and manage incidents for timely resolution

• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and support teams
• Maintain governance, operational reviews with partners and vendors

Your future role

You’ll ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of the SAP landscape across all business domains. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Business Process Owners, Key Users, and domain leaders), oversee daily operations, and prioritize incident and problem management to drive operational excellence and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing service delivery performance and coordinating SAP changes across modules and systems, but also ensuring compliance with IT security, audit controls, and quality standards.

We’ll look to you for:

• Ensuring availability, stability, and performance of the SAP application landscape (ECC, Fiori, PI/PO, GRC, Solution Manager, etc.)
• Overseeing daily monitoring, batch execution, system health checks, and proactive maintenance
• Prioritizing and managing incidents to ensure effective resolution and escalation when necessary
• Driving problem management to eliminate recurring issues and reduce ticket backlog
• Coordinating SAP changes and managing release cycles, patches, upgrades, and major deployments
• Facilitating communication between business stakeholders, project teams, and support operations
• Ensuring proper governance and regular operational reviews with support partners and vendors
• Maintaining operational documentation and supporting audit cycles
• Proposing and implementing improvement plans to stabilize operations and enhance performance
