Job summary

KION India Pvt. Ltd. in Pune seeks an experienced SAP MM Developer to lead technical design, development, and integration for planning-related SAP MM solutions across ECC and S/4HANA. You will work with ABAP, CDS Views, APIs, OData, and RAP to deliver scalable, maintainable systems.

You will collaborate with global stakeholders in IT and Supply Chain Planning, ensuring Clean Core compliance and smooth deployments while supporting continuous improvement across the planning stack.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of SAP development/implementation experience.
• Strong experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA development environments.
• Proven SAP MM-related developments, especially in planning and procurement areas.
• Experience in custom developments, interfaces, reports, APIs, and service-based solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, process owners, and project teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Informatics, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite, IDocs, and APIs is a plus.
• Experience with SAP IBP integration is desirable.
• Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate into robust SAP MM concepts.
• Design, develop, enhance SAP MM solutions in ECC/S/4HANA.
• Implement developments supporting MRP, material disposition, replenishment, and procurement planning.
• Develop and enhance solutions using ABAP, CDS Views, APIs, OData, RAP, and Fiori concepts.
• Ensure solutions follow Clean Core, extensibility, and maintainability.
• Support integrations between SAP MM and connected systems, including SAP IBP where applicable.
• Analyze defects, incidents, and performance issues; support testing and deployment.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Developer to join our Supply Chain Planning IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical design, enhancement, extension, and development of SAP MM solutions across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, with a strong focus on planning-related processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust technical SAP MM solution concepts
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain SAP MM-related technical solutions in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA
• Implement custom developments supporting MRP, material disposition, replenishment, and procurement-related planning processes
• Develop and enhance solutions using modern SAP technologies such as ABAP, ABAP Objects, CDS Views, APIs, OData services, RAP services, and Fiori-related concepts
• Ensure solutions follow Clean Core, extensibility, architecture, and maintainability standards
• Support and develop integrations between SAP MM and connected systems, including SAP IBP where applicable
• Analyze and resolve technical defects, incidents, interface issues, and performance problems
• Support testing, deployments, documentation, and continuous improvement activities

What You Bring

• Strong technical expertise in SAP development for SAP MM processes
• Deep hands-on experience with ABAP, ABAP Objects, CDS Views, APIs, OData services, RAP services, and modern SAP development approaches
• Good understanding of SAP MM planning-related processes, especially MRP, material disposition, replenishment planning, and procurement execution
• Experience in developing scalable, maintainable, and standard-oriented SAP solutions
• Sound understanding of SAP S/4HANA development concepts and Clean Core principles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, consultants, developers, architects, and management in international environments
• Very good command of English, written and spoken

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in SAP development, technical implementation, or enhancement delivery
• Strong experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA development environments
• Proven experience in SAP MM-related developments, especially in planning and procurement-related areas
• Several years of experience in custom developments, interfaces, reports, APIs, and service-based solutions
• Experience in technical collaboration with business stakeholders, process owners, and project teams
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable discipline
• Knowledge of SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite, IDocs, and APIs is an advantage
• Experience with SAP IBP integration is desirable
• Relevant SAP certifications are a plus
