Job summary

Umanist NA is seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Migration Specialist to lead and execute migration activities for External Vendor Master Data and Production Master Data. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP data migration, ALE/IDoc, LSMW, BAPI, BDC, flat-file interfaces, and integration technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration activities for External Vendor Master Data and Production Master Data.
• Design and develop data migration solutions using LSMW, BAPI, BDC, and flat-file interfaces.
• Handle files on both Application Server and Presentation Server.
• Implement performance optimization and tuning techniques for high-volume data migration.
• Configure, develop, and troubleshoot ALE/IDoc interfaces (RFC settings, ports, partner profiles, message types, IDoc types).
• Implement Change Pointers for ALE and develop custom IDocs where required.
• Work with SAP BP and CVI integration and synchronize BP with master records.
• Provide integration expertise across MM, SD, FI, and CO modules.
• Implement and maintain integrations using Web Services and APIs; coordinate interface deployment.
• Prepare migration-related documentation; plan and execute testing; coordinate with business during UAT.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP Master Data Migration Specialist to lead and execute migration activities for External Vendor Master Data and Production Master Data. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on expertise in SAP data migration, ALE/IDoc, LSMW, BAPI, BDC, flat‑file interfaces, and integration technologies.

The candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, executing, validating, and supporting data migration and cutover activities while collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and high-performance data migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration activities for External Vendor Master Data and Production Master Data, including planning, execution, validation, testing, and cutover.
• Design and develop data migration solutions using LSMW, BAPI, BDC, and flat-file interfaces.
• Handle files on both Application Server and Presentation Server.
• Implement performance optimization and tuning techniques for high-volume data migration while meeting defined SLAs and minimizing business disruption.
• Configure, develop, and troubleshoot ALE/IDoc interfaces, including:
• RFC settings
• Ports
• Partner Profiles
• Message Types
• IDoc Types
• Implement Change Pointers for ALE and develop custom IDocs where required.
• Work with standard IDocs, enhance existing interfaces, configure NACE settings, reprocess IDocs, and troubleshoot IDoc errors.
• Manage SAP Business Partner (BP) and CVI integration activities, including BP transactions, relevant BP tables, and synchronization between BP and traditional master records.
• Provide integration expertise across SAP MM, SD, FI, and CO modules to ensure master data consistency and alignment with business processes.
• Implement and maintain integrations using Web Services and APIs, in addition to IDoc-based interfaces.
• Coordinate software component integration and interface deployment activities.
• Support development and enhancement activities using BAdIs, User Exits, and Customer Exits, where applicable.
• Maintain configuration, requirement, and migration-related documentation.

• Plan and execute Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing.
• Coordinate with business teams during UAT and validate migrated data with business owners.
• Collaborate with technical teams, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to ensure successful and timely migration delivery.
• Participate in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation project involving master data migration.

Required Skills

• 4–7 years of relevant SAP experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience in SAP Master Data Migration.
• Expertise in LSMW, BAPI, BDC, and Flat File Interfaces.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with of ABAP, ALE/IDoc configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with RFC, Ports, Partner Profiles, Message Types, and IDoc Types.
• Hands‑on experience with Change Pointers and Custom IDocs.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Partner (BP) and CVI integration.
• Integration knowledge across MM, SD, FI, and CO.
• Experience with Web Services and APIs.
• Knowledge of BAdIs, User Exits, and Customer Exits.
• Strong data validation, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and documentation skills.
• Experience in at least one end-to-end SAP implementation.

Preferred Experience

• Strong preference for candidates with hands‑on experience in Vendor Master Data migration.
• Experience handling large-volume data migration and performance optimization.
• Experience working with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Exposure to CVI/BP migration and integration projects.
• Experience working in complex, global SAP implementation or transformation programs.
