Job summary

Infosys is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Consultant to support large-scale utility projects across India. You will deliver end-to-end IS-U Billing and Invoicing configurations, manage TOU and tiered rate scenarios, and collaborate with global teams to optimize billing processes.

The role requires 5+ years in SAP IS-U Billing, hands-on BRF+ and data integration, and strong stakeholder engagement. You will lead workshops, design solutions, and support transformation programs in agile,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing across implementations, rollouts, upgrades and support.
• Strong hands-on experience with IS-U billing configuration and solution design.
• Experience with TOU, tiered rates, seasonal rates, and revenue management in utility billing.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering workshops and fit-gap analyses for utility billing solutions.
• Design end-to-end SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing solutions covering meter-to-cash processes.
• Configure and support complex utility billing scenarios including TOU and tiered rates.
• Engage with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders to drive business transformation.

SAP ISU Billing Consultant

• Strong experience in utility industry business processes across Electricity, Gas, Water, and Multi-Utility environments.
• Hands-on experience with: BadIs, User Exits, Enhancements, BRF+, Billing Validation Logic, Custom Billing Solutions.
• Strong understanding of: BPEM, Exception Handling Frameworks, Batch Processing Optimization, Performance Tuning, High-Volume Utility Processing.
• Experience supporting large-scale utility operations including: Mass Billing Runs, Invoice Generation, Billing Batch Scheduling, Monitoring and Performance Optimization, High-Volume Customer Processing, Billing Exception Resolution.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing configuration and solution design.
• 5+ years of experience in SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing across implementation, rollout, upgrade, transformation, enhancement, and support engagements.
• Experience with RISE with SAP, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and AI-enabled SAP solutions.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and global delivery environments.
• Strong consulting, stakeholder management, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to lead workshops, influence business decisions, and engage effectively with executive stakeholders.

A day in the life of an Infoscion

• Serve as a trusted advisor to utility clients, driving business transformation initiatives through SAP IS-U Billing, Invoicing, Rate Management, Device Management, and Revenue Management solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable SAP Utilities solutions.
• Lead requirement gathering workshops, fit-gap analyses, business process design sessions, and solution architecture discussions for utility billing and customer service processes.
• Design and deliver end-to-end SAP IS-U Billing & Invoicing solutions covering meter-to-cash processes, rate configuration, billing operations, invoicing, and revenue management.
• Configure and support complex utility billing scenarios including Time-of-Use (TOU), Tiered Rates, Seasonal Rates, Demand Charges, Renewable Energy Programs, Net Energy Metering (NEM), and Net Billing Tariff (NBT).
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across SAP IS-U Customer Service (CS), Device Management (DM), Meter Data Management (MDM), Energy Data Management (EDM), FI-CA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and Integration platforms.
• Lead and support key project phases including Solution Design, Configuration, SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live, Hypercare, and Post-Production Stabilization.
• Drive billing process optimization initiatives focused on billing accuracy, revenue assurance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership in client workshops, solution demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, transformation assessments, and strategic roadmap planning.
• Support business development activities including RFPs, RFIs, solution proposals, effort estimations, and SAP Utilities transformation programs.
• Lead and support key project phases including Solution Design, Configuration, SIT, UAT, Cutover, Go-Live, Hypercare, and Post-Production Stabilization.
• Drive billing process optimization initiatives focused on billing accuracy, revenue assurance, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership in client workshops, solution demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, transformation assessments, and strategic roadmap planning.
