Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements for Article Master creation, extension, updates, and mass maintenance.
• Onboard and manage Vendors and Business Partners with validations and duplicate checks.
• Configure procurement master data related to Article Master: PIRs, Source Lists, Info Records, BOMs.
• Support article processes: prepacks, variants, service packs, beverages with deposits, relations and listings.
• Define data validation rules, process flows, and approval requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to mass upload templates, data checks, and data quality frameworks.
• Prepare functional specs, documentation, and SOPs; participate in SIT/UAT and rollout support.

Role: SAP Article Master Functional Consultant

Experience: 6+ Years

Role Overview

We are looking for an SAP Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Article Master, Vendor Management, Business Partner (BP) processes, and procurement-related master data. The consultant will work closely with business teams to analyse requirements, design functional solutions, and support end-to-end processes within SAP ECC/S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document requirements for Article Master creation, extension, updates, and mass maintenance.
• Support onboarding, enrichment, and lifecycle management of Vendors and Business Partners, including validations and duplicate checks.
• Configure and validate procurement master data relevant to Article Master processes:
  • Purchase Info Records (ME11/ME12)
  • Source Lists (ME05/ME07)
  • Bills of Material (CS01/CS02) for applicable article types (perishables, prepacks, beverages, variants, etc.)
• Support article-related processes including:
  • Prepacks, variant characteristics, service packs, beverages with deposits
  • Article relationships, hierarchy, listings/de-listings, assortments
• Define data validation rules, process flows, and approval requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to designing mass upload templates, data checks, and data quality frameworks.
• Participate in SIT/UAT, prepare functional documentation and test scripts, and support business users during rollout.
• Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documentation, and SOPs.

Required Skills

• 5-7 years of experience in one or more of the following functional areas:
  • SAP IS Retail
  • SAP S/4HANA Fashion/Retail
• Strong hands-on experience in Article Master processes including:
  • Article types, attributes, characteristics, variants, brand management
  • Article hierarchy and assortment/listing processes
  • Proven experience with procurement master data linked to Article Master: PIRs, Source Lists, Info Records, BOMs.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
