Job summary

Deloitte US-India Offices seeks an experienced SAP GTS lead to design, implement, and optimize global trade compliance solutions in Hyderabad. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define processes and deliver value.

The role requires hands-on SAP GTS expertise, strong integration with SAP S/4HANA, and a track record of successful implementations. You will mentor peers and drive modernization initiatives while ensuring regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field.
• 8+ years hands-on SAP GTS experience in compliance & trade.
• Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP GTS implementations in Lead role.
• Strong knowledge of SPL screening, licensing, and HTS/ECCN classification.
• Experience with SAP GTS integration with S/4HANA (SD, MM).

• Collaborate with brokers, government agencies, external providers.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP GTS solutions for global trade compliance and customs management.
• Conduct workshops with trade compliance, customs, logistics, legal, and business stakeholders to define trade and compliance processes.
• Architect and configure SAP GTS modules including Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Trade Preference Management.
• Design integration between SAP GTS and SAP S/4HANA modules such as SD, MM, and Logistics Execution.
• Configure SPL screening, embargo checks, legal controls, licensing procedures, product classification, and customs duty calculations.
• Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects, EDI/XML interfaces, compliance reports, and custom developments.
• Lead integration testing, UAT, cutover activities, data migration, and post-go-live support.
• Drive process improvements in trade compliance, license determination, screening accuracy, and customs automation.
• Ensure compliance with changing global trade regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation and SAP GTS modernization initiatives.
• Collaborate with customs brokers, government agencies, and external system providers for seamless trade execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP GTS with expertise in Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Trade Preference Management.
• Minimum 2 full-cycle SAP GTS implementation projects in a Lead role.
• Strong knowledge of SPL screening, embargo checks, export/import licensing, HTS/ECCN classification, customs declarations, and preference processing.
• Deep expertise in SAP GTS integration with SAP S/4HANA/ECC, especially SD and MM processes.
• Experience troubleshooting IDocs, XML customs messages, GTS user exits, BAdIs, and SAP Fiori applications.
• Understanding of international trade regulations including EAR, ITAR, CBP, AES, and global customs frameworks.
• Experience with customs broker integrations and third-party trade compliance solutions.
• Experience implementing or migrating to SAP GTS Edition for SAP S/4HANA.
• SAP GTS Certification is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional communication skills.
