Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support SAP GTS solutions.
• Implement and support SPL screening, embargo checks, and legal control.
• Configure Customs Management for import/export processes.
• Handle product classification (HTS/ECCN) and tariff classification.
• Integrate SAP GTS with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA using RFC/ALE/IDoc.
• Develop functional specs and coordinate WRICEF developments with teams.
• Support enhancements using BADIs, user exits, and reports.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide L2/L3 production support.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and create docs.
• Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade and support projects.
• Follow Agile methodologies and mentor junior consultants.

We are looking for an experienced SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) Consultant to join our team as a Custom Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in SAP GTS implementation, support, and enhancements, with strong expertise in Compliance Management, Customs Management, and SAP GTS integration with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that meet global trade compliance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and support SAP GTS solutions based on business requirements.
• Implement and support SAP GTS Compliance Management, including:
  • Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening
  • Embargo Checks
  • Legal Control
  • License Management
• Configure and support Customs Management for import and export processes.
• Work on Product Classification, including HTS, ECCN, and Tariff Classification.
• Integrate SAP GTS with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA using RFC, ALE/IDoc, and other integration technologies.
• Develop functional specifications and coordinate with technical teams for custom developments (WRICEF).
• Support enhancements using BADIs, User Exits, reports, interfaces, and forms.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot production issues, and provide L2/L3 support.
• Collaborate with business users and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
• Prepare project documentation, including Functional Specifications, Test Scripts, User Manuals, and Training Documents.
• Participate in implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.
• Follow Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS).
• Strong expertise in:
• Compliance Management (SPL, Embargo, Legal Control)
• Customs Management
• License Management
• Product Classification (HTS/ECCN)
• Preference Management (preferred)
• Experience integrating SAP GTS with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of SAP GTS master data, legal regulations, and trade compliance processes.
• Experience in WRICEF developments, BADIs, User Exits, and custom reports is an advantage.
• Familiarity with integration technologies such as RFC, ALE/IDoc, XML, and FTP.
• Experience with implementation, rollout, upgrade, and support projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP GTS Edition for SAP HANA (E4H).
• Exposure to external data providers such as Descartes or Agora.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs compliance.
• SAP GTS certification is a plus.
