Lincoln Motor Company is seeking an SAP Functional Lead in India to guide end-to-end SAP initiatives from requirements to go-live and hypercare. You will manage workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, design, testing, data migration, and post-go-live stabilization while aligning with enterprise IT standards.

You will partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, SIs, and project teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions.

The SAP Functional Lead will provide functional leadership across SAP implementation, transformation, and enhancement initiatives while ensuring solutions align with business objectives and enterprise IT standards.

The role will lead requirements workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, functional solution design, testing, data migration support, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization. The SAP Functional Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners to resolve issues, improve business processes, and deliver sustainable SAP solutions.

The successful candidate will combine strong SAP functional expertise with project leadership, analytical problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences and guide cross-functional teams through complex SAP transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

SAP Leadership & Project Delivery

• Lead SAP implementation and enhancement initiatives from requirements gathering through go-live and hypercare.
• Facilitate requirements workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and end-user readiness activities.
• Lead functional design discussions and drive timely resolution of functional and cross-functional issues.
• Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, system integrators, and other project teams to deliver solutions aligned with agreed scope and business objectives.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, and delivery issues and communicate them clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Promote effective collaboration and accountability across cross-functional teams.

Solution Design & Functional Delivery

• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP functional solutions.
• Partner with system integrators and technical teams to design, document, configure, and deliver SAP solutions.
• Define functional requirements for enhancements, interfaces, reports, workflows, and data-conversion solutions.
• Review functional designs and ensure solutions meet business, integration, and enterprise IT requirements.
• Evaluate relevant SAP capabilities and release enhancements and recommend opportunities that improve business processes or system effectiveness.

Business Analysis & Documentation

• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to understand existing processes, pain points, requirements, and future-state needs.
• Develop and maintain business requirements, process flows, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain appropriate project artifacts in Jira or a comparable Agile delivery platform.
• Provide clear reporting on project status, risks, dependencies, issues, and key decisions.

Testing, Data Migration & Release Management

• Plan and coordinate functional, integration, security, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Drive defect triage, resolution, retesting, and business validation.
• Support data profiling, extraction, cleansing, migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.
• Contribute to release planning, cutover readiness, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Lead or support post-production stabilization and hypercare activities.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Support

• Perform root cause analysis for recurring functional or process issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve SAP-enabled business processes.
• Support sustainable operating procedures, knowledge transfer, and team capability development.

Define, validate, and support business and operational reporting requirements

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading SAP implementations, transformations, or major enhancement programs .
• Strong functional knowledge of [insert required SAP module(s)/solution area] and related end-to-end business processes.
• Experience facilitating requirements workshops, Fit-Gap analysis, process design, functional solution design, testing, and user readiness activities.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, IT teams, system integrators, and cross-functional delivery teams.
• Experience developing functional specifications, business requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience supporting SAP testing, defect management, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Working knowledge of Jira or a comparable Agile project-management platform.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and decision-making skills.
• Experience working within Agile, iterative, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or transformations , if applicable to the environment.
• Experience delivering large-scale SAP programs across multiple business functions, sites, or regions.
• Experience with SAP reporting and analytics solutions relevant to the functional area.
• Experience with data migration, cutover, release management, and hypercare.
• Relevant SAP functional certification for the applicable module or solution area.
