Magellanic Cloud in Hyderabad invites an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with 10+ years of experience in SAP FI/CO, Funds Management, and CO-PA to lead end-to-end financial implementations.

The role requires hands-on ECC and/or S/4HANA, with expertise in budgeting, profitability reporting, and integration with MM/SD/PS/PM. WFO in Hyderabad and structured interview process.

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in Fund Accounting (Funds Management) and Controlling-Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, with expertise in configuring Financial Accounting, Controlling, Funds Management, budgeting, and profitability reporting. The consultant will work closely with finance and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end implementation, support, and enhancement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and support SAP FI modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting.
• Implement and support SAP Funds Management (Fund Accounting), including Fund Master Data, Budget Control System (BCS), Commitment Management, Funds Centers, Commitment Items, and Funded Programs.
• Configure and support CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) including characteristics, value fields, derivation strategies, top-down distribution, and profitability reporting.
• Perform configuration for Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders, and Product Costing.
• Gather business requirements, conduct GAP analysis, prepare functional specifications, and recommend SAP best practices.
• Integrate SAP FICO with MM, SD, PS, PM, and other SAP modules to support end-to-end business processes.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Design and execute unit testing, SIT, UAT, and support cutover and go-live activities.
• Work with ABAP developers on reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms, workflows, and data migration objects.
• Analyze production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolution.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration documents, business process documents, and user training materials.
• Collaborate with finance teams to optimize budgeting, fund utilization, and profitability reporting processes.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in SAP FI and CO configuration.
• Hands-on expertise in Fund Accounting / Funds Management and Budget Control.
• Strong experience in CO-PA (Costing-Based or Account-Based Profitability Analysis).
• Experience with Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Allocations.
• Knowledge of Asset Accounting, Taxation, Banking, AP, AR, and GL processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and Universal Journal.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and reconciliation.
• Experience with interfaces such as IDocs, APIs, BAPIs, and LSMW/Data Migration Cockpit.
• Understanding of SAP Fiori apps for Finance is an added advantage.
• Experience working in Agile and SAP Activate methodologies.
