Responsibilities

• Deliver Tax Transformation and Tax Automation projects using SAP FI/FICO.
• Configure Direct Tax requirements within SAP.
• Implement and manage Withholding Tax / TDS functionality.
• Handle Asset Accounting implementation and configuration.
• Work on Tax Compliance, Tax Returns, Tax Provision and Tax Reporting.
• Participate in 1–2 end-to-end SAP implementation projects, preferably including Indian clients.
• Perform testing of cross-module FI-SD and FI-MM functionality.
• Develop and support cross-module reports and programs.
• Analyze and resolve business issues using SAP solutions.
• Work directly with clients to translate tax and finance objectives into SAP solutions.
• Support tax transformation initiatives and contribute to technology-driven tax solutions.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP FICO / SAP FI Consultant to join our Tax Automation and Tax Transformation team. The role involves working closely with clients and tax/client-facing teams to deliver SAP-enabled tax transformation and automation solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in SAP FICO in the Indian environment, hands-on exposure to Direct Tax configurations, Withholding Tax/TDS, Asset Accounting, and experience in delivering end-to-end SAP implementation projects.

This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong business understanding, communication skills, and the ability to translate tax function requirements into SAP-based digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and implement Tax Transformation and Tax Automation projects using SAP FI/FICO.
• Configure and support Direct Tax requirements within SAP.
• Implement and manage Withholding Tax / TDS Tax functionality.
• Handle Asset Accounting implementation and configuration in SAP.
• Work on Tax Compliance, Tax Returns, Tax Provision and Tax Reporting processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of experience in SAP FICO / SAP FI, preferably in the Indian environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI.
• Experience in 1–2 end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Experience with Indian clients / Indian business environment.
• Strong experience in:

• Experience in FI-SD and FI-MM cross-module testing.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should preferably have one of the following:

• MBA (Finance)
• CA
• ICWA
• B.Com
• BE + MBA (Finance)

Good to Have

• SAP FI certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of planning, consolidation and financial reporting processes.
• Basic understanding of emerging technologies such as:
• Cloud Computing
• Data & Analytics
• AI/ML
• NoSQL / Columnar Databases
• Previous experience in a consulting firm.
