Job summary

GeekSoft Consulting seeks an experienced SAP Utilities consultant to lead functional design and optimize utility processes across SAP modules. You will coordinate configurations for Customer Care, Service Contracts, EDM, and Device Management while ensuring compliant, efficient customer and asset handling.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, support testing, and guide billing integrations, with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control. Mentoring and knowledge transfer are expected.

Qualifications

• Over 5+ years in SAP Utilities or related functional areas.
• Lead end-to-end functional design of SAP processes across utilities.
• Coordinate configuration of SAP Customer Care to optimize interactions.
• Define SAP Service Contracts and manage revenue-related aspects.
• Oversee SAP Work Management for field operations and safety.
• Guide SAP EDM for meter data processing and settlement.
• Lead SAP Device Management lifecycle (install, replacement, inspection, decommissioning).
• Drive integration of SAP billing with metering and rate structures.
• Mentor team members on SAP capabilities and best practices.
• Assist in SIT/UAT, cutover, and hypercare activities.

Requirements

• Lead end-to-end functional design of SAP Waste Management processes, ensuring compliant and efficient handling of complex customer and asset scenarios across utilities and related industries.
• 5+ years in SAP Utilities / related functional areas
• Coordinate the configuration of SAP Customer Care processes to optimize customer interactions, billing inquiries, and service requests while improving customer satisfaction.
• Define and maintain SAP Service Contracts, ensuring accurate terms, pricing, lifecycle management, revenue recognition, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee SAP Work Management processes for effective scheduling, execution, and closure of field work orders, with emphasis on safety, quality, and cost control.
• Manage the functional setup of SAP Energy Data Management (EDM) to support accurate meter data processing, interval data management, and energy settlement.
• Guide the configuration of SAP Device Management for end-to-end lifecycle tracking of meters and field devices, including installation, replacement, inspection, and decommissioning.
• Lead the integration of SAP billing components with metering and contract data to ensure accurate and timely invoicing aligned with complex utility and energy rate structures.
• Leverage Generative AI to automate documentation, test-case generation, and knowledge retrieval, improving delivery efficiency and reducing manual effort.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and translate operational needs into scalable SAP functional specifications.
• Support SIT, UAT, and system testing by preparing test scenarios, validating results, and coordinating defect resolution.
• Provide functional expertise during cutover, go-live, and hypercare, addressing critical incidents and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain clear documentation of functional designs, configuration decisions, and business process flows to support audits, enhancements, and knowledge transfer.
• Mentor team members on SAP functional capabilities, utilities processes, and industry best practices to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.
