Job summary

Birlasoft in Bengaluru is seeking a Java developer with SAP Hybris experience to design, develop, and support eCommerce applications on the Hybris platform. You will tailor solutions through configuration, collaborate with designers, analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to gather requirements, and ensure on-time delivery with high quality.

The role requires strong Java fundamentals, Hybris module knowledge, and the ability to work with multiple interlock teams.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of Java and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Hybris modules such as WCMS, PCM, and eCommerce.
• Hybris B2B Commerce implementations and customer-specific pricing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database design.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).

• Design, Develop, and Support: Create and enhance eCommerce applications using the SAP Hybris platform.
• Customization: Tailor solutions for specific business needs through configuration and customization.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, analysts, business stakeholders, and developers across multiple interlock teams to gather requirements and ensure seamless project execution.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code with a strong emphasis on Java fundamentals.
• Testing: Conduct unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality.
• Documentation: Prepare technical documentation to support and guide users and developers.
• Bug Fixing: Identify and fix bugs in existing applications and perform root cause analysis.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the overall performance, scalability, and reliability of the application.
• Security: Ensure that applications adhere to security best practices and standards.
• AI Tools Adoption: Leverage AI-powered tools and technologies to improve development productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, documentation, and overall delivery efficiency.

Requirements

• Java Skills: Solid understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
• Hybris Knowledge: Hands-on experience with SAP Hybris modules such as WCMS, PCM, and eCommerce.
• Hybris B2B Experience (Preferred): Prior experience working on SAP Hybris B2B Commerce implementations, including customer-specific pricing, account management, approval workflows, and B2B purchasing processes, is highly preferred.
• Database Skills: Basic knowledge of database design and SQL.
• AI Tools & Emerging Technologies: Working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) and an interest in leveraging AI to improve software development and delivery processes.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Team Collaboration: Proven experience working effectively with multiple interlock teams, including product, architecture, QA, DevOps, business, and support teams.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
