Job summary

Rarr Technologies is seeking an SAP BDC Datasphere Data Lake Consultant to design, build and operate modern enterprise data platforms using SAP BDC, Datasphere, BTP and hyperscaler data lakes. The role focuses on data integration, governance, and cloud-first architecture for S/4HANA and RISE programs.

Key responsibilities include implementing SAP Datasphere solutions, building semantic models, managing data flows and ensuring data quality, security, and traceability across platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong hands on experience in SAP Datasphere and SAP BDC.
• Solid understanding of S4HANA data models, CDS views and ODP extractors.
• Experience with SAP BTP Cloud Connector and integration patterns.
• Strong SQL data modeling and cloud data engineering fundamentals.
• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud SAC for analytics and planning scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SAP BDC and SAP Datasphere solutions as the enterprise data foundation.
• Build semantic models, SQL views, analytical views, cubes and consumption models.
• Develop and manage Replication Flows, Data Flows, Task Chains and scheduling.
• Implement row level security, DAC, and data governance policies.
• Design end to end data architecture for SAP analytics landscapes with BDC Datasphere SAC and external platforms.
• Enable analytics consumption and support KPI frameworks and dashboards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical models.
• Work with BASIS and cloud infra teams; support cutover and production stabilization.

The SAP BDC Datasphere Data Lake Consultant will be responsible for designing building and operating modern enterprise data platforms using SAP Business Data Cloud BDC, SAP Datasphere, SAP BTP and hyperscaler data lakes

The role focuses on SAP and non-SAP data integration semantic modeling governance analytics enablement and cloud first data architecture for S4HANA and RISE programs

Key Responsibilities

• SAP Business Data Cloud Datasphere
• Design and implement SAP Business Data Cloud BDC and SAP Datasphere solutions as the enterprise data foundation
• Build Spaces semantic models SQL views analytical views cubes and consumption models
• Develop and manage Replication Flows Data Flows Task Chains and scheduling
• Implement row level security DAC role based access control and data governance policies
• Data Integration Data Lake
• Integrate data from SAP S4HANA ECC BW SuccessFactors Ariba and non SAP systems
• Design outbound integrations from SAP BDCDatasphere to Azure Data Lake AWS S3 Google BigQuery Databricks Snowflake
• Configure SAP Cloud Connector DP Agent live and batch data connections
• Ensure data quality harmonization lineage and traceability across platforms
• Architecture Data Modeling
• Define end to end data architecture for SAP analytics landscapes involving BDC Datasphere SAC and external data platforms
• Design reusable scalable enterprise semantic layers for reporting and AIML readiness
• Apply best practices in OLAP dimensional modeling and cloud data warehouse design
• Analytics Enablement
• Enable analytics consumption using SAP Analytics Cloud SAC live acquired models
• Support KPI frameworks enterprise dashboards and embedded analytics
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical models
• Governance Security Operations
• Implement transport management and lifecycle management across DEVTESTPROD
• Support DataOps CICD pipelines and automation using SAP BTP CLI or APIs
• Ensure compliance with SOXGDPR and audit requirements
• Perform performance tuning monitoring and issue resolution
• Stakeholder Delivery Management
• Conduct architecture workshops requirement walkthroughs and design reviews
• Work closely with SAP functional teams Basis and cloud infrastructure teams
• Support cutover hypercare and production stabilization activities
• Contribute to solution documentation standards and knowledge assets

Required Skills Experience

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands on experience in SAP Datasphere SAP Business Data Cloud BDC
• Solid understanding of SAP S4HANA data models CDS Views and ODP extractors
• Experience with SAP BTP Cloud Connector and integration patterns
• Strong SQL data modeling and cloud data engineering fundamentals
• Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud SAC for analytics and planning scenarios

Good to Have

• Experience integrating SAP with Databricks Snowflake AzureAWSGCP data lakes
• Knowledge of ABAP CDS AMDP SQL Script
