Job summary

NTT DATA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS seeks an SAP CPI Principal Architect to join our India team. You will lead large-scale SAP integration programs, architect end-to-end solutions, and drive modern integration patterns across CPI, API Management, and S/4HANA landscapes.

Expect frequent client interaction, architecture reviews, and collaboration with functional and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable integrations across SAP and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP integration experience with at least 5 years as lead/architect on large-scale projects
• Experience in Tier-1 organizations with direct client interaction
• Hands-on expertise in SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor)
• Strong background in S/4HANA integration (on-premise and cloud) and hybrid-cloud scenarios
• Proficiency in Groovy scripting, mapping, and adapters connectivity issues
• Experience with SAP API Management and related policies (OAuth, quotas)
• Ability to guide architecture reviews and establish integration standards and governance

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP integration architecture for complex programs and ensure on-time delivery
• Collaborate with clients, business process teams, and cross-functional tech teams
• Oversee development of iFlows, APIs, and adapters to optimize performance and security
• Drive CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automation for integration delivery

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a SAP CPI Principal Architect to join our team in India.

Basic Qualifications

• Candidate should have 10+ years of SAP integration experience, with at least 5 years as a lead or architect in large-scale integration projects with minimum 3-4 Implementation exposures.
• Should have experience in Tier-1 organization with direct interaction with Clients
• Should have experience in dealing with Clients and Business process teams
• Should have extensive hands-on expertise in SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration/CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, Trading Partner Management, Open Connector, Integration Assessment, Migration Assessment).
• Should have strong background in S/4HANA integration (on-premise and cloud), interface migration, and hybrid-cloud scenarios.
• Strong hands-on in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI): iFlows, adapters, mapping (Graphical/XSLT), Groovy scripting, JMS, IDoc/SOAP/REST/OData.
• Strong hands-on in SAP API Management: API proxies, policies (OAuth, spike arrest, quotas), OpenAPI specs, lifecycle/versioning.
• Should have deep knowledge of integration methodologies (real-time, asynchronous, event-driven, etc.), modern enterprise architecture, and design patterns.
• Should be able to work independently with customers and deliver the project
• Should have strong expertise with Groovy scripts, good troubleshooting knowledge in Mapping and Adapters connectivity issues
• Should oversee development of iFlows, APIs, and adapters in SAP Integration Suite and ensure optimal configuration, performance tuning, and security compliance and collaborate with functional and technical teams for seamless integration between SAP S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, and third-party systems.
• Should establish integration standards, reusable assets, and governance frameworks.
• Should conduct architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance policies.
• Should drive automation and DevOps practices for integration delivery (CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, etc.).
• Should have good communication skills, deal with clients and explain the solution approach and alternatives
• Must be flexible to work in shifts (non-standard) to provide global coverage to the customer
• 60-90 days' notice period required

Nice to Have

• Knowledge/Hands-on in SAP PI/PO, Dell Boomi, AIF, APIGEE
• SAP Certification in SAP Integration Suite Developer, SAP BTP Solution Architect
