Job summary

Tekskills Inc. in Chennai is seeking an experienced SAP Controlling expert to lead cost management across CO modules, including CCA, PCA, and Product Costing, with end-to-end cost flow from procurement to finance.

The role also covers budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and period-end closing, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration with FI, MM, and PP teams to ensure accurate cost control and strategic decision support.

Qualifications

• Expertise in SAP Controlling (CO) with CCA, Internal Orders, PCA, and Product Costing.
• Strong knowledge of Cost Element Accounting for primary and secondary cost elements.
• Proficiency in CO-PC including standard costing and released cost estimates.
• Experience in Actual Costing / Material Ledger with price determination and inventory revaluation.
• Familiarity with Mixed Costing for multi-plant estimation.
• Skilled in Variance Analysis across material, labor, overhead and production variances.
• Understanding of Marginal and Full Absorption Costing for profitability analysis.
• Hands-on with WIP calculation, variance settlement, and period-end closing.
• Advanced skills in Overhead Cost Controlling and activity-based calculations.
• Strong integration with SAP FI, MM, and PP for cost flow from procurement to reporting.
• Ability to manage Inventory Valuation using standard, moving average, and actual costing.
• Experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Planning for strategic decisions.

Role & responsibilities

• 1. Strong expertise in SAP Controlling (CO) including Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting (PCA), and Product Costing.
• 2. In-depth knowledge of Cost Element Accounting, with hands-on experience in designing primary and secondary cost elements for accurate cost tracking.
• 3. Proficient in Product Cost Planning (CO-PC), including standard costing, preliminary cost estimates, released standard cost estimates, and cost component splits.
• 4. Extensive experience in Actual Costing / Material Ledger, including single-level and multi-level price determination, actual price calculation, and periodic revaluation of inventory.
• 5. Strong understanding of Mixed Costing, enabling cost estimation across multiple plants, procurement alternatives, and production versions.
• 6. Expertise in Variance Analysis, including material, labor, overhead, and production variances, with clear root-cause analysis for management reporting.
• 7. Knowledge of Marginal Costing and Full Absorption Costing, supporting contribution margin analysis and profitability decisions.
• 8. Hands-on experience with WIP calculation, variance settlement, and period-end closing activities in manufacturing and service scenarios.
• 9. Advanced skills in Overhead Cost Controlling, using assessments, distributions, activity price calculations, and activity allocations.
• 10. Strong integration knowledge with SAP FI, MM, and PP, ensuring accurate cost flow from procurement and production through financial reporting.
• 11. Ability to manage Inventory Valuation using standard price, moving average price, and actual costing methods.
• 12. Experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Planning, supporting business cost control and strategic decision-making.
