Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior BI-BW consultant to drive SAP BW on HANA development for a global delivery service line. You will design, implement and optimize data models, transformations and reports, collaborating with on-site and offshore teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You’ll mentor junior staff, manage deliverables, and drive performance tuning and test automation in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in SAP BW/BI
• Proficient with SAP BW on HANA architecture and performance tuning
• Experience designing transformations, routines and DTPs

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP BW development lifecycle from design to production support
• Collaborate with on-site coordinators and offshore teams
• Mentor project resources and manage delivery timelines

Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Client responsibilities:
  • Need to work as a team leader (technical leader) to contribute in various technical streams of cloud implementation project.
  • Interface and communicate with the onsite coordinators.
  • Planning and monitoring of the project deliverables from the team.
  • Mentor the project team in executing the identified projects.
  • Regular status reporting to the Manager and onsite coordinators.
  • Interface with the customer representatives as and when needed.
  • Willing to travel to the customers locations on need basis.
• People responsibilities:
  • Building a quality culture.
  • Manage the performance management for the direct reportees, as per the organization policies.
  • Foster teamwork and lead by example.
  • Training and mentoring of project resources.
  • Participating in the organization-wide people initiatives.
• Responsible for the SAP BW development lifecycle from design through implementation and production support.
• Proficient in SAP BI/BW Back-end development and configuration, testing and pre-production support.
• Proficient in design, developing & support of custom BW objects using BW LSA (Layered Scalable Architecture).
• Proficient with SAP BW on HANA system architecture design and performance optimization Creates transformations, routines, formulas, DTPs. Develops, maintains, monitors and manages data loads and functions.
• Documents test plans and completes unit testing of developed objects.
• Works closely with Testing/Business resources to support system and integration testing.
• Creates and supports Bex queries in SAP BW Data Warehouse based on reporting requirements.
• Responsible for performance tuning of BW systems utilizing best practices.
• Responsible for supporting Business Objects reports in production and new report development.
• Responsible for root cause analysis and providing solutions for production and development issues.
• Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
• Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
