Job summary

Electrosteel castings Ltd. in Kolkata invites an experienced SAP B1 techno-functional consultant to join our IT team. The role focuses on implementing, configuring SAP Business One modules, and supporting global subsidiaries with ERP solutions.

You will analyze business processes, perform gap analysis, develop reports using Crystal Reports, and ensure data integrity across Finance, Sales, Inventory, and Production. Strong SQL and API skills required.

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech (IT/IS/CS) / MCA / MSc (CS/Systems) / MBA (Systems) required.
• SAP B1 Certification preferred.
• 4-8 years SAP B1 techno-functional experience.
• Strong SAP B1 knowledge: architecture, Service Layer, SDK, SQL, HANA dashboards, Crystal Reports.
• Experience with add-ons; familiarity with B1UP/B1 iF or similar addons.
• Understanding of ERP concepts; exposure to manufacturing, retail or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Academic/Professional Qualification:

BE / B. Tech — (IT / IS / Computer Science) / MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science/Systems)/ MBA (Systems)

SAP B1 Certification (Preferred)

• Length of Experience: 4-8 years as SAP B1 Techno-Functional Consultant
• Technical skill required:
• Deep understanding of the SAP B1 HANA architecture
• Familiarity with Service Layer and Web Client
• Knowledge of SAP B1 Software Development Kit (SDK), SQL queries, HANA Dashboard and Crystal Reports.
• Strong SQL scripting skills (especially for SAP HANA SQL)
• Understanding of SAP B1 Service Layer (REST API) for web integrations.
• Excellent proB1em-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Add-on development or integration.
• Knowledge of Boyum IT (B1UP, CRM etc.), B1 iF (Business One Integration Framework) or other common SAP B1 add-ons.

Job Description (Role & Responsibilities):

• TrouB1eshoot and resolve SAP B1 issues (functional and/or technical).

• Provide post-implementation support and ongoing system enhancements.
• Develop reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports, SAP B1 tools or third-party reporting tools. Coordinate with business team, external vendors, partners and internal IT teams.

Role Purpose:

To provide functional and technical support for the SAP Business One (SAP B1) ERP systems across the Company's overseas subsidiaries, ensuring smooth business operations, process standardization, system optimization and timely issue resolution. The role will coordinate with global business users, implementation partners and internal IT teams to support ERP enhancements, integrations, reporting, statutory compliance, and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional and technical support for SAP Business One across foreign subsidiaries.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize SAP B1 modules (Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Production).
• Resolve user issues and coordinate with implementation partners/vendors.
• Support ERP enhancements, integrations, reporting, and data management.
• Conduct user training, prepare documentation, and ensure process standardization.
• Ensure system availability, compliance, and smooth business operations.
