Job summary

EXL is seeking a SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform Administrator to design and deploy reporting solutions across WebI, Crystal Reports, Analysis for Office, and SAP Lumira. You will build ad hoc reports, develop complex queries, and maintain executive dashboards and KPI reports.

Your role includes SAP BO platform administration, including installation, configuration, CMS, authentication, monitoring, and support for migrations from BO 4.2 to 4.3 and BI 2025, while ensuring security and governance.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP BO Platform 4.3 and BI 2025.
• Proficient in building reports using WebI, Crystal Reports, and Analysis for Office.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, universes, and the IDT tool.
• Hands-on experience with CMS, group permissions, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with migration/upgrade activities between BO versions and BI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop reports using SAP BusinessObjects tools.
• Install, configure, and administer SAP BO Platform components and CMS repositories.
• Participate in migrations/upgrades (BO 4.2→4.3, BO 4.3→BI 2025) and validation testing.
• Implement security models, user management, and governance controls.
• Analyze performance and optimize universes, SQL, and report scheduling.

Reporting & Dashboard Development

• Design and develop reports using: - Web Intelligence (WebI)

SAP BI Platform Administration

• Install, configure, and administer SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.3 / BI 2025.
• Manage CMS repositories, FRS servers, and server groups.
• Configure authentication mechanisms:
• Monitor platform health and availability.

Migration & Upgrade Activities

• Participate in migrations from: - BO 4.2 to BO 4.3
• BO 4.3 to BI 2025
• Validate report compatibility and regression testing.
• Perform repository migration and content promotion
• Develop rollback and cutover strategies.

Security & Governance

• Implement role-based security models.
• Manage users, groups, and folder-level permissions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance policies.
• Support audit and access-control reviews.

Performance Optimization

• Analyze report and query performance.
• Optimize Universes, SQL generation, and report scheduling.
• Configure caching and server tuning.
• Troubleshoot production performance issues.
