Job summary

NTT DATA is hiring an SAP BASIS Consultant for our Hyderabad delivery team. You will provide L1.5/L2/L3 production support for SAP ECC environments, manage transports, and help keep systems stable across SAP landscapes.

The role requires incident analysis, RCA, on-call rotations, and adherence to ITIL change and release practices. You will collaborate with business, functional, and technical teams to drive improvements and upgrades.

• Minimum 1 end-to-end SAP Basis implementation /Migration /Upgrade full life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1.5/ L2/L3 production support for SAP ECC applications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents within SLA.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Handle Service Requests and standard changes.
• Deliver minor enhancements and configuration updates.
• Support deployment activities and transport management.
• Coordinate with business users, functional teams, and technical teams.
• Prepare functional/technical documentation and knowledge articles.
• Participate in on‑call support during business‑critical periods.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management processes.
• Work with monitoring tools and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.
• Support testing activities including Unit Testing.
• Experience in applying Enhancement packages.
• Contribute to the architecture design of the SAP systems.
• Well versed with the entire business suite of SAP.
• Experience in installing, configuring and support Solution Manager.

• Perform core Basis functions (e.g., corrections, support packs, kernels, transports).
• Install, configure, maintain, and support multiple SAP landscapes and 3rd party tools.
• Research and implement solutions for Basis functionality in the areas of performance monitoring, tuning, and systems configuration using the SAP Best Practice.
• Experience in system refreshes and restores of dual (ABAP+Java) and single stack systems.
• Experience in applying Enhancement packages.
• Contribute to the architecture design of the SAP systems.
• Well versed with the entire business suite of SAP.
• Experience in installing, configuring and support Solution Manager.
