Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking an experienced SAP Authorization Engineer to design, implement and manage SAP authorization solutions across ERP, HANA and GRC landscapes. The role emphasizes security, compliance and least-privilege access, with collaboration across global teams.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of hands-on SAP Authorization/SAP Security experience, strong SAP GRC Access Control knowledge, and expertise in HANA security and SoD controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Authorization/SAP Security.
• Strong experience in SAP GRC Access Control.
• Good knowledge of SAP HANA Security/Authorization.
• Strong understanding of SAP roles, profiles, SoD and access management.
• Experience working on SAP authorization implementation/projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• SAP Security/GRC certification would be an added advantage.
• Ability to work with global teams across different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement SAP authorization concepts, roles and access models based on business requirements.
• Manage SAP GRC Access Control, including access risk analysis and Segregation of Duties (SoD).
• Handle user access lifecycle, authorization-related incidents and troubleshooting.
• Work across SAP environments including SAP ERP, HANA, BI and CFIN.
• Support SAP authorization activities across the complete project lifecycle, including UAT and cutover.
• Collaborate with functional teams, architects, security teams and external partners.
• Ensure SAP authorization solutions comply with security, audit and compliance standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and innovation.
