Job summary

Acesoft Labs in Bengaluru seeks an experienced SAP Archiving and ILM Specialist with 6+ years of SAP experience to design, implement, and manage the archiving of standard SAP objects, ensuring efficient data management and regulatory compliance.

You will work with stakeholders to define retention policies, configure ILM and archiving classes, monitor performance, and develop reports to track data volumes and system performance.

SAP Archiving and ILM Specialist

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Archiving and ILM specialist with 6+ years of experience to design, implement, and manage the archiving of standard SAP objects in SAP Archiving and ILM. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive archiving strategy to ensure efficient data management, reduce data volume, and improve system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement archiving strategies for standard SAP objects such as:
• Financial, Procurement and logistics documents.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data retention requirements and archiving needs
• Configure and maintain SAP archiving settings, including Archiving classes, Archiving profiles and Retention periods
• Implement and manage SAP ILM to automate the archiving process
• Configure ILM policies, rules, and schedules to ensure data is archived and retained according to business requirements
• Monitor and analyze ILM system performance, making adjustments as needed
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy during the archiving process
• Develop and maintain data maps and data dictionaries to track archived data
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compatibility with other systems and tools
• Develop reports and analytics to track archiving progress, data volumes, and system performance
• Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders on archiving and data management best practices
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOX
• Implement data access controls, encryption, and other security measures to protect archived data

Requirements:

• SAP Experience: 6+ years of experience working with SAP systems, preferably with a focus on SAP archiving and ILM
• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of SAP archiving concepts, including archiving classes, profiles, and retention periods
• Experience with SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) and its configuration
• Familiarity with SAP data management, data governance, and data quality
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Business Acumen:
• Understanding of business requirements and data retention needs
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
