SAP APO Consultant

Role: SAP APO Functional Consultant

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) Consultant with strong functional expertise in supply chain planning processes. The consultant will be responsible for supporting, configuring, enhancing, and troubleshooting SAP APO solutions and their integration with SAP ECC/S/4HANA and other systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support and configuration for SAP APO planning processes.
• Support key APO components, including:
• DP - Demand Planning
• SNP - Supply Network Planning
• PP/DS - Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling
• GATP - Global Available-to-Promise
• CIF - Core Interface
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate SAP APO solutions.
• Configure and maintain planning areas, planning books, data views, planning versions, and master data.
• Support demand forecasting, supply planning, production planning, capacity planning, and scheduling processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot CIF integration between SAP APO and SAP ECC/S/4HANA.
• Resolve production incidents, planning inconsistencies, master-data issues, and interface failures.
• Perform root-cause analysis and provide permanent solutions for recurring issues.
• Handle change requests, enhancements, configuration changes, testing, and deployments.
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP and integration teams for technical developments.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Work closely with business, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and technical teams.
• Maintain SOPs, configuration documents, functional specifications, and knowledge-management documentation.
• Manage incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with agreed SLAs and ITIL processes.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP APO.
• Strong expertise in at least two or more APO components: DP, SNP, PP/DS, or GATP.
• Good knowledge of CIF integration and APO master-data integration.
• Understanding of:
• Demand forecasting and planning
• Supply and distribution planning
• Production planning and scheduling
• Capacity planning
• Product availability and ATP
• Planning master data
• Good integration knowledge with SAP MM, PP, SD, and logistics processes.
• Experience in troubleshooting APO planning and integration issues.

• Experience in SAP implementation and/or AMS L2/L3 support.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
